Even at the lowest setting, a high-pitched sound from the motor is perceptible. While not excessively loud, it is still noticeable.Secondly, the build quality may feel a bit cheap. From a distance, the design appears very premium, but upon closer inspection and physical contact, the all-plastic material does not exude a premium feel. Fans can take up so much space, and not all help purify your air so you end up with two units in one room taking up space. So it is always a nice thing when you can find a compact 2 in one unit. And the fun animation of the face makes the fan that much more interesting.Now this unit comes in great condition and is packed in foam to prevent movement in shipping. You get everything that you need to operate the fan, from the cord for charging, instructions, and the main fan. I made sure to fully charge up the unit before turning it on for the first time. This will help prevent issues with the fan or charging in the future. Now you can operate this unit with or without the cord pulled in, this is a fantastic feature as you can move it around if needed or as the sun moves around the room. You can adjust the stand to the height and position you want it to be at. Three buttons make it an easy operating system. The middle is your power, now it will always auto-turn on to level 1 fan, to the left of that button is your fan speed. There are 4 speeds and even one is powerful enough to move the air around the room. The face will turn on for the first two minutes and blink as it reviews and processes the air quality. Now if the air quality is good it will smile and the face will shut off but will come back on for 10 seconds every minute. If the air quality is poor the face will stay active until the air quality changes.Now the heap filter at the back is very easy to deal with. You simply unlock the back blue cover and slide the old filter out. Please note you only get 1 filter that is preinstalled and shipped with the unit. After that, you will need to get another one. It would have been nice but not necessary if they created a pack or had a backup come with the fan as it needs to be replaced every 3 months.The fan will still operate even when charging so no loose of power. Now we have it wireless but this is because my son only needs it at night to cool his room off. But if you plan to use it daily I would be plugged in to prevent forgetting to charge it. It does have an indicator on the stand three blue dots to let you know the charge level. We charged this 4 days ago and we are still running on the same charge so it does last for a while.
