They arrived on time and every one works exactly as advertised. I was a bit concerned after reading a couple negative reviews but mine arrived in brand new condition and after testing each one, they had an acceptable tolerance across a wide input voltage range. My configuration consisted of an 1N4001 diode on the input side to prevent any polarity unpleasantness, a 33uF Electrolytic Capacitor between the input of the L7805 and the ground and then a 0.1uF Ceramic Capacitor between the output of the L7805 and the ground. I tested each one using a variable regulated DC power supply between the range of 7 volts and 13 volts. Each regulator produced the regulated output of 5.01 DC to 5.03 DC across the entire voltage input range. Note: These do seem to require an input voltage of at least 6.8 volts to obtain a 5 volt output.

And as an added bonus it arrived on time!My feelings on this product are not variable, just like the voltage output of this regulator. Buy it if you need something reliable, otherwise don't.

I used this voltage regulator to supply 5 volts to a PIC16F1829 from my car's power supply. It hasn't rested since I added it to my car to control a custom brake/turn signal circuit. They have not failed for 24/7 usage in almost 3 months.

Half expected low quality stuff at this almost non-existent price, but I was pleasantly surprised. Tried them all out on the bench power supply, and each put out a SOLID 5 volts with no ripple showing up on the `scope... Quality stuff. I recommend this product, highly.

I hate to pay Fry's jacked up prices for Electronics items. So I have made several bulk purchases on Amazon, to stock my supplies of popular component sizes and types. The quality is very good, and I don't have Amazon Prime account, so I order, knowing that I will be waiting about 5 days to get my order. It works for me.

Make your own dependable 5v power supply. 1.5 amps is descent power output to charge many of the smart phones. I made one for my car with a recycled usb ports from an old broken pc. My wife and the kids are happy. I think its better than those tiny plug in 99 cents 5v adapters.

Works OK. It puts out about 4.8 volts instead of 5. This is measured using a 12 volt input voltage.

they work and they can get hot. example: 12v-5v=7v ; then (7v/currentOut) = wattage diverted by device. I was running one with out a small heat sink, and touched it and it left a mark on my finger cause of how hot it was (17VDCsource).
