I love this album. The songs cover a wide range of real Christian experience (from when things seem to go great, to when you're struggling), there's praise, there's reflection... The sound of the band reminds me of Jars of Clay (first album or so), and although Jason does "whine" (as another reviewer puts it) he does it well (in the traditional style of many alternative/rock voices nowadays), and it's an album I keep coming back to again and again. The songs and the sound is simply awesome. And I've seen the Jason Ingram band in person and they rock then too! :-)

I am the youth pastor of a small church in auburn california. Jason has come to our church and played our coffee house a couple of times. The last time was a fund raiser for a crisis pregnancy center. He came for nothing. His music is not hypocritical. He believes what he writes. His love for Christ is awesome and he is very humble. Plus he is a wakeboarder too. "Because of your Love" is a great song to play on mothers day or fathers day if you want to score points with Mom and Dad. JIB is awesome.

This album is one of my favorites. The song "Ask of Me" still sends chills up my spine and "Sin" is thought-provoking and reflective. The guitar pieces are especially creative and light-years beyond. Worth listening to over and over again. Very reminiscent of the Dave Matthews Band sound and equally as good.

The musicians in the JIB, to include Jason himself are all talented. The only problem with this album is how hard the vocals are hard to scrape past. The whining vocals could only be matched by the original whiner himself (whom this album sounds like a watered down version of) Michael W. Be sure that you listen to this one before you buy it.

I first heard JIB at a youth conference in Phoenix. They gave a live concert, and I feel in love with their sound. Jason also gave a testimony about loosing his best friend and fellow band member. Their ministry really touched me, and I have been a fan ever since!!
