I’ve used Sakura gel pens for years now for my art and note-taking and they never disappoint! The gel ink flows out of the pen so smoothly, beautifully and with exceptional color vibrancy. The pens are durable and the ink lasts a long time, when it seems like ink stops flowing/runs out just give it a few swirls on a test paper and it will come right back out.

I've been a Gelly Roll girl since middle school, forever ago. The quality remains the same - great smooth flow and vibrant colors. The plastic frame of the pen is still soft and easy to hold. This Moonlight set is super dreamy and works nicely on black paper as well - ink is so vibrant.

I know that Gelly Roll pens are supposed to be the best gel pens out there. After trying all the pens in this pack, I can kind of see why, but not entirely.The colors are great. There is a wide range from standard, staid colors to vibrant, almost neon brights. You can write on dark colored paper with the bright pens and the ink shows up extremely well. It's fun having so many different colors to choose from.My only issue with these, is that the ink doesn't always seem to flow very smoothly when writing. I had a few pens in this pack that would skip while I was writing. It happened enough, that it was a noticeable annoyance. When they do write as you would hope, they produce a nice, smooth, solid line.I was pretty hyped up to try this brand. The selection of colors and vividness of the ink lived up to my expectations. The uneven ink flow was a little disappointing.

I remember getting gelly roll pens back when I was a kid and loved them. These are even better than I remembered! The write so smoothly, and the are really like a gel so you have to let it dry or fan it before you touch the fresh writing. The colors are beautiful and because they're gel, they can be used on light and dark paper. These pens are great quality, and they're lightweight.

Beautiful Colors roll out smoothly across the page. So far I have used most of the colors and had no skips or problems with the ink. I have used on many shades and styles of paper with no difficulty.

I ordered these for my wife to use on her scrapbooking and journalling. She has used Sakura gel pens previously and mainly uses the white pen to cover ink that has bled or for highlights.This set of 25 colours is a great kit to have, the gel ink rolls smoothly onto both paper and card without dragging or bleeding. The colours are vibrant and are bright enough to show up on darker coloured card stock also.When colouring or writing the line is approx 0.5mm and this is easy to control or to use for script.My wife stores them on their side between use and this means that the gel ink does not collect in the roller ball which can create a larger blob of the gel.A great set of gel pens and highly recommended.

PROS:* Outstanding colour selection and contrast.* Bold thickness won't disappoint if you need writing and graphics to be seen. They will be seen.* Japan made pen build construction feels good in the hand.* When the ink rolls out, it rolls out juicy.* When the ink rolls out juicy, the action is very smooth.* Drying time is not unreasonable given the lushness of the ink. Perhaps less than 15 seconds on paper.* Pen cap insertion and removal is a positive action.* The product package made a good attempt to include a nice spectrum sample of colours.* The ink can be written on many hard surfaces where traditional ballpoint pens refuse to leave a mark.* No perceptible ink bleed on paper stocks.CONS:* No white or black colour was included.* A reusable box could have been considered to package the 25 pens.* Not all the bold width pens rolled out ink smoothly. This is a quality consistency issue. Some felt a wee bit scratchy, but the ink still flowed.* Note that if the application angle is too low, then the ink might be intermittent. However, this is true for many commodity ballpoint pens. I guess I expected a little more liberal flow with these type of pens at the challenging angle.NOTES:* The ink is mostly permanent on paper surfaces once dried.* The ink can be cleaned off hard surfaces with a damp cloth.SUMMARY:If you are looking to make a brilliant, thick and bold written statement on any writing substrate, then the original Japanese Sakura Gelly Roll is a very good candidate. Perhaps a premium price, but you are indeed getting a premium product.

I am very picky about my pens, and I have to say, these Gelly Roll pens are awesome.I received a pack of 25 gel pens of different colours. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice they are to write and draw with. The ink flows easily and smoothly, with no blotting or skipping. The colours are really bright and even the palest colours show up. I was especially delighted with how vividly they show up on black paper. Great for crafting, sketching, etc. Almost like a paint pen- you can feel the texture of the ink on the paper, once dry.The body of each pen is a translucent plastic tube with a cap. This allows you to see at a glance how much ink remains.No cons for me with these pens. I really like them and think they are excellent quality.
