First, let me say that the cable is a rubber-like flat cable that feels somewhat like a stiff rubber band—not terrible, but overall, not especially durable—it’s going to be nicked up and mangled if you carry it in a bag with other objects (as virtually all of us do). (See photo)Secondly, and far more importantly, is that it is advertised to charge both an android and iOS device simultaneously; this is impossible given the design of the cable. The power goes directly to the micro usb which is housed inside the back of the lightning plug. As long as the micro usb is plugged into the lightning plug, yes, it will power an Apple device, BUT when you unplug the micro usb, you have now cut off the power supply to the lightning plug, rendering the lightning plug useless. Only one device of either kind can be powered at one time—not both simultaneously. (See photos)Finally, one item that may not be of consequence to everyone, but certainly will be to many others, is that the tip does not fit if you have an Otterbox or other protective case on your phone. You will need an extender.The only feature I did somewhat appreciate about the cord is that it has dust covers for both the regular usb tip and the lightning tip when not in use—how long you are able to keep track of them while the cable is in use is another story since there is no storage bag and they are obviously small. (My cats love batting the tantalizing little suckers around, so hopefully I can find them before initializing the return.)Overall, I’m not impressed. I’m giving it two stars only because it does, in fact, charge EITHER device (not both), but I’d purchased it to be able to charge both simultaneously. Will be sending it back if I don’t get stuck with shipping charges.

I have had both of these cords and have had them a week, I have enjoyed them as and iPhone user I have had some go bad in one day. These seem to be holding up well and with me having a Samsung as a hotspot phone I always have it on a cord. The android plug in is very snug the I phone one is kinda of loose in the phone. It charges but can maybe use a little more tweaking in manufacturing side. The android side of plug is great. I always use them for the androids I use.

Photo is misleading. Cable appears to be a Y cable. One iPhone connector & one with adapter. This is not what I received.
