So this is great - it does a very neat job, and the second cutter does a nice job on the edges. The software (I’d recommend the Gardenia Software rather than the Flymo software) is very functional, and easy to use. WiFi control is better.However - the collision detection is a huge step back from my previous EasiLife model…we have raised railway sleeper style borders…pretty immovable and a definite STOP, but the mower gets stuck spinning and spinning its wheels (and therefore digging and digging…) every 10 minutes or so….it eventually realises that it’s not mowing Hyde Park and then reverses itself out and starts again, but not before leaving huge deep skid where it’s been stuck. The previous models never did this, and the collision detection felt much more “positive” in its action…which probably explains things. Maybe this new model is just trying to be too clever, and a good old spring mounted bumper was all it needed. Time will tell if this is fixed in Software….and I will therefore wait until the last minute to decide if i return the unit.
