I am very pleased with the minimalist style and the quality of leather. The Wine/Red is an especially nice understated color. Exactly what I have been looking for to replace my old checkbook cover. Highly recommend.

A good wallet for your checkbook. It fits the standard size, and you can get two checkbooks (or one check and one deposit book) into the wallet. It looks nice and feels ok. It is leather, I believe that, but it’s the grain layer (topmost layer) of a split hide. That is to say it’s made from a very thin section mechanically peeled from a whole hide. To my understanding, something describing itself as ‘genuine grain leather’ should be the whole thickness of the hide. It can be a thin hide but not a split hide. So one star off.
