What you would expect for the price
I used this to lift a 230 lb. diesel engine up about 4 feet, and lower it into a crate. This wasn't a good experience. Before you use it, make sure you lubricate all of the parts. It jammed immediately. After spray lubricant was added, I was able to get it to work. Lowering one notch at a time, by "bumping" the handle, was difficult. It was too easy for it to get jammed. It took 2 hours for a job that should have taken 10 minutes. My advice: invest in a better (more pricey) tool.

Ugh. So unusable. Might be a good trick for an escape artist show, but not for when it's really needed. Several latches to hold while trying to unwind. Not worth the time or money.

The rachet is pretty good for the price
This rachet is pretty light and work's great very easy to manuever. We use it when cutting some trees and even to pull out one of our trucks that got stuck in the mud.

I like that this comealong has three hooks, allowing it to be used double-lined, or single-lined with its own snatch block.It lifted a 25,000 BTU A/C no problem!
