I use readers for close work and, of course, reading. I also buy different strengths for different tasks like using the computer, sewing and reading. The problem is usually that I have a wide head and most readers start to make my head sore on the sides because they are tight.Flexies are different because the plastic the frame and arms are made of is extremely flexible. The frame kind of gently wraps around your face and head. This is much more comfortable than even the frames that have the spring loaded hinges on the arms. Plus, these frames and lenses are light as a feather.The lenses are perfect and distortion free. The plastic frame is a matte finish and this particular style is attractive and suitable for most faces.They also come with a really nice, frosted plastic case that makes it easy to carry my glasses in my purse without fear of scratching the lenses.I like them so much I am ordering two more pair.UPDATE: 1/31/2015 Here it is, almost a year and a half later, and these reading glasses remain my favorites and I use them daily. I've given up buying Dollar Store readers because they have to be replaced so often, they end up being much more expensive (and way less comfortable) than these Flexies. If you depend upon readers, these are the best ones I've ever had.

I’ve purchased these a few times because they’re lightweight, flexible, and the lenses stay clear longer than others I’ve purchased in the past. This last purchase, though, the black pair snapped like a twig when I cleaned one of the lenses. I was being careful, but the arm broke right off!

I can't say enough about these glasses.They are so light, I could wear them 24 hours straight and feel no pressure whatsoever on the bridge of my nose or around my ears where hard framed glasses had made painful indentations on the sides of my head.They are so flexible yet strong that I wear them to bed while I read or watch videos on my Kindle Fire - laying sideways does not damage them - and they are so comfortable, I can fall asleep with them on and not even know it till I feel my face. Other glasses will break after 2-3 months of laying on my side, these have been going strong for close to a year with no damage whatsoever.They are attractive. I can't tell you how many compliments I have received on these (I have the fuscia). They really are beautiful.They are also petite and feminine - they fit my face beautifully even though I am not petite, they just work.I am now buying them in purple because my vision has changed and because I love purple, and I can't wait for them to come in! I hope this company never goes out of business because I am a customer for life.

I had purchased a pair of these for my wife at a store a year or so ago. She loved them so much that each time I was at a store with any kind of reader I was always looking for an additional pair (as she has a bad habit of miss placing things). So as I continue the search with no luck at all I make another attempt on the internet for them, and bingo I fell I had possibly found them.So I then come to Amazon to find that they are here as well, and at the same price as the site I found them on. Well we have to order her a pair as the old ones are the1.25 strength and she is needing to move to a 1.50. So we order her two pair and I had used her old ones in the pass and really liked the comfort of them. See these are not any normal type of frames they FLEX and when I say FLEX, I don't mean they a can bend a little, I mean you can bend the ear piece around and touch the same side of itself without it breaking. And lets not even mention how light weight they are, they are so light it is as if you don't even have a pair of glasses on at all.So we purchased two pair for my wife and I purchased two pair for myself and we are so very happy with these. But please be aware that these glasses only come with a hard tubular type of a case, not a regular type of eye glass case that you would usually see someone using, so if you are needing a good eye case make sure to pick one up as this is what caused my wife to need a new pair, as she would just throw her old pair into her purse and the lens of the glasses began to get scratches on them as the lens is also made of a light weight plastic vs a hard glass. So if you are tough on your glasses or just throw them around you may want to use some other form of protection for them. I just wanted to let you know if you are considering purchasing these glasses that you will love them for the looks the way they wear, how light weight they are and that they are so comfortable on your nose as they do not have that nose piece that most glasses have. They just have the flair of the material at the nose piece which make them fell so comfortable on your nose.So if you are looking for a comfortable pair of glasses that will not break at all you have found them with the Calabri Reading Glasses 718 Flexie's. Just be sure to protect the lens area of these glasses and you will always be a happy customer.

These are very comfortable and flexible. I ordered these because heavier styles with the wider “arms” always feel tight behind my ears and give me a headache. These are kind of small but they are so light you cannot hardly feel them. You can’t really rest them on the top of your head very well when you are not using them, or they will likely fall off. I would like to see a bit larger style of these. The multicolor is quite pretty.

I just purchased these as an exact replacement for my first pair, which lasted years until I slammed them in a car door or some such. I wouldn't even consider buying any other reading glasses. These are so lightweight and the flexibility means they don't get 'wonky' very easily from being laid around or stored in my purse (in a slip case). Definitely a great purchase.

These are perfect readers, so comfortable and light. It doesn't dent the temples and they're like wearing nothing. I picked a magnification of '3' for my cell phone and book reading. I probably will buy another pair as I never want this parted from my 'sight'. Excellent blind buy!
