The media could not be loaded. After backing into a tree branch with the RV, this gelcoat kit was perfect to finish off the repair. First was to prep the area, the fiberglass the damage, sand that out smooth.To color match the grey, I worked at ground level with an amount of just the gelcoat (no hardener) adding first white pigment, then a very small amount of black. Mixed and applied to side of RV in a clean test area. Very slowly darken the grey to a very close match. Had the wife come over to finish matching, knowing that adding the hardener would slightly darken it more.Stopped when close enough, added the hardener, then applied over the patched area.I’m not done with the repair. We had a trip to make, so stopped at this step, but need to come back and do the final sanding and polishing. I’ll get a photo of that to add, once I’ve done that, but happy with the fix.

My boat had a blemish about 4-6 inches long and 2 inches wide from running into a dock with a bolt sticking out from it. The prep time was extensive but not unexpected, so when I was finally able to use the product I was nervous about it. The directions were clear which was nice. I watched numerous instructional videos to ensure I knew the proceedure and recommend watching more than one to all who are doing more than filling in a scuff mark. While the color was a perfect match when it was applied, it was much darker after drying. A color panel could have been included with the kit and would have been a big help. Due to the size of my repair, I didn't have a lot of spare material to use on testing the color change by trial and error ahead of the repair. In the end, my repair looks great even though it is a darker color. Anyone who notices the color difference is only going to see it when they aren't in the boat so have another beer and sit down cuz we're about to have some fun!

Simple to use. Mixing the tint takes a bit of practice but if you leave the hardner out til you are satisfied with the tint its easy. Let dry over night if applying in hi humidity. Wet sand with 500 to 600 grit then 1000 grit then 1500. Use a cutter or antinoxidation past on a buffer. Then use a good polish and finallyna good wax. Used on my Crownline 266.

it's a pretty complete kit, you pay a premium to have the color choices, but the kit needs a piece of clear,non-stick plastic to smooth out the fiberglass while the fiberglass is hardening. the kit is designed for repair of small defects/chips.

I ordered this because I needed to fix some black and white gel coat on my jet ski. Product was fun and easy to apply, just make sure you follow the directions. If you don't add the correct hardener you won't like the results. After reading other reviews, I think they did not follow the instructions. You need to know the difference between tsp and tbsp. they require different drops of hardener. Would buy again next year if I have more damaged.

Product was easy to use. The color match is a little tricky. Hard to get an exact match. Went on solid and sanded easy to blend in. However, after about 3 months, some of it did flake off. I did used it on the bottom of transom. So may have lasted longer if it was not under water.

The package reeked of a chemical smell, so much so that I thought the container had broken... but it hadn't. The fumes and odor were so strong upon opening the package that it gave me an immediate headache and I'm not even all that sensitive to smells. I had to remove the contents from my home and get it outside asap. 20 minutes later, the terrible smell is still here.

I had a 4 inch x 1/4 inch gash in my RV nose cone. I mixed the ingredients and added "a little" black coloring. It matched perfectly! I made sure I used enough hardener in the ratio and everything worked out perfectly. It took two coats to fill the gash and I used a rubber spatula to spread it out. It was still a little rough so I used 1000 grit and 1500 grit to smooth it out. I still need to buff it out. Except for the "Sheen" it looks great and is hard. Been in place 2 months now.
