It’s a good fit & serves a purpose

Does The Job - Just
I have a mini-digger of some vintage years which has given me sterling service. However, I got it with a temporary fuel cap and I have not been able to find a replacement.So, when the rubbish temporary cap broke I replaced it with this. Also a bit rubbish really, but it works.Of modest design and build quality one would have to say, it's in the 'cost effective and fit for purpose' category. In other words it's cheap and you know it, but it just about works.On my digger, it does actually keep the diesel in the tank as long as I don't go mad and fill it right up. In a car I'd be a tad concerned about petrol splashing around to be honest.So, it's a get you home job or if like me you have an old bit of industrial kit for home use, then fine for that purpose.

Fits very firmly.
This product fits very firmly and has successfully replaced my missing diesel cap.

Not fit for Purpose.
This item pushes into the filler OK but when removed it leaves the centre of the cap IN THE FILLER PIPE.It has to be removed with pliers before the car can be filled with fuel.Also the cap has no rubber seal in the lid.In summary a cheap and very nasty purchase!I would return the item but its marginally better than nothing until a proper replacement arrives.

El tapón cumple su función en un Ibiza 6l pero en la ITV me han puesto una falta grave y desfavorable, por lo que ahora tengo que comprar uno original

Was helpful until it wasn't
Lost our fuel cap and was struggling to find a replacement. Purchased this to prevent any issues and it seemed to work well when driving around. However, as soon as we tried pulling the cap out it separated into two pieces. The black cap was in our hand and the hard yellow blades were stuck in the gasket. Whenever we need to put fuel in the car now, we have to bring pliers to pull out the blades. Looking for a replacement still...
