Great remote car for toddlers
This little remote car is so appealing, so well-made, so reasonably priced, that this is the second one I've purchased. It's simple enough for a 2-year-old to make the car move, and interesting enough to keep a 4-year-old playing for an hour. The car and remote battery compartments require a screwdriver to open, which provides peace of mind, and the song the car plays is quite pleasant, which provides a different kind of peace of mind. The car runs as well over carpets as on hardwood floors. While the remote has only two control buttons -- forward and a half-turn backwards -- kids quickly learn how to get the car turned enough to reverse direction. Excellent little toy, highly recommended.

Easy Operation for 3-Year-Old, Offering ‘Frustration Free Fun’
The media could not be loaded. The remote race-car was a gift for my 3-year-old grandson, and he loves this toy very much because it has the simplistic controls that are frustration free for a three year to use. This toy is smooth and the edges are round, therefore there is nothing sharp to cause any injury. In addition with new batteries, it speeds along our tile floor, and so fast that our dog gallops up the stairs to get out of the racing car’s way. This 3-piece set includes the racing car, a 3” helmeted plastic driver (which can pull out of car), and the remote control. The ‘little driver’ is removable with a strong tug, however, it remains firmly in place within the race-car, and it never falls out. Although, this piece is too big to fit in my grandson’s mouth, I have not told him that this piece can come out, and therefore it won’t get lost. This race-car set requires (5) AA batteries and a tiny Philips head screwdriver to open the battery compartments. The racecar needs (3) AA batteries and the remote control requires (2) AA batteries. The racing car is approximately 5 ½” long, and 7” tall (which includes the almost 4” radio control antenna). Therefore, its larger size prevents the car from being stuck under our lower furniture. The 3 AA batteries fit in the compartment underneath the race-car.There are three press controls for sounds and lights, the one on the top of the car, offers a couple of honks, flashing headlights and a musical tune that lasts for approximately 35 seconds. Although the music is loud enough for my grandson to enjoy, it’s not too loud, and it does not interfere with adult conversation. To turn the music off, just push another control button. The second sound control is the ‘driver’s steering wheel’ located at the front of the race-car. The headlights flash along with the start-up sound of the ignition and motor. The third control is the ‘driver’, and when pressed, the lights flash and the little plastic man driver calls out something similar to ‘Hooray’.The remote control in the shape of a steering wheel, has a radio control antenna about 5 ½” long. There are two easy press buttons for movement; one controls the forward movement and the other provides reverse, in which the race-car changes direction and veers backwards in a large spinning arc. The press buttons are easier for his little hands to operate, than a toggle switch or lever.Performance:With 5 new batteries, this race-car moves at a very fast pace, and speeds along our tiled floor, and although it can operate on short pile carpet, the speed is slower than on a smooth surface. In addition, the remote control range is impressive as I can stand at one end of our long hallway and operate the race-car from 63 feet away. This is a great toy for my 3-year-old grandson, the remote control press buttons are easy for him to operate, and it therefore holds his attention for quite a long time.

Great for the price!! Would buy again!
This car is awesome! I love the size and my son (2.5 years old) can easily manipulate the buttons on the remote. He loves the sounds the car makes, the mini lights and the little removable guy. He played with it for a solid 20 minutes then I took over. My only problem with the car is that it always turns to the side. It has a small wheel under the car and it makes it go in a small circle. While I can easily manipulate it my son kept sending it in the grass. Over all great toy, just uses a lot of batteries. (5 AA at one time.) (2 for the remote and 3 for the car.) Honestly though for the price I'd buy it again!

This car is fun
My kids love it. It keeps them busy and entertained. Works close but doesn't have a long range. Works great for toddlers.

Your basic beginner remote control car. Perfect for toddlers.
This is your very basic, remote control car. Perfect for young toddlers. The remote only moves the car forward or turns it in one direction. It doesn’t have a reverse. I thought that it would be annoying, but I found that with my 2 yr old, the simpler, the better. He loves pushing the buttons, and they function well enough to keep it from getting stuck in most corners. It is not a powerful car, which I appreciate. No dents in my walls or cabinets when he does drive it right into them. Because of this though, it absolutely does not work on carpet. He really enjoys all the sounds this car makes (honking, and some music). The sound functions only work if he is directly playing with the car (not the remote), so it’s not constant (win for me). The music has a very Russian Dancer feel to it, which is maybe a bit odd for this toy, but not annoying.Overall, this has been a great toy, and as soon as my sister-in-law saw it, she wanted one for her little girl (3 1/2 yr old).

Super cute little RC car, the 2yo loves it!
I got this for my friend's child, for her second birthday. She (and the four year old as well!) love this little car. I was unsure if she would even be amused by this at all since iPads are a thing now, but she loves it! You can see her trying to work it out, trying to get it where she wants it to go, and she definitely loves the noises this car makes. The little salsa-like tune is fun and the vroom vroom noise is her favorite. I would definitely recommend this for the 2-4 year ages. Seems pretty sturdy as well, haven't had any issues with it falling apart or breaking in any way. My only complaint is how many batteries this toy takes! I ended up buying an extra pack of batteries for this one toy, since I felt bad about how many it takes (four in the car, two in the remote). One of the best birthday purchases made so far!

Good but...
I bought for a 3yo and he love it.Pros:Drop resistant material although it can break if it is dropped from highier or pulled with great force.Easy to use for young children.Long-lasting battery for normal use.Cons:The remote does not have an off button, so it stays on all the time. The control buttons can get stuck, so you risk the car doesn't responding as expected.UPDATE:Customer service is great, the representative contacted me multiple times and shipped a new toy without additional cost. This second toy works much better than the previous one and all the children enjoy it very much.We still can't turn off completely the remote, but this new one has a better sensor that works only when kids press the buttons to operate the toy.

An excellent product for the price
I received the toy in excellent condition, and I had no problems with it after installing batteries. The toy looks sturdy, and well constructed. The toy is actually intended for our small dog. I use the car to exercise our dog. We live in an apartment, and it is presently very cold outside. We can’t go out for a walk. Not when it’s -29 C outside. The toy is sturdy, and my dog had lots of fun chasing the car around. The controls may be limited, but we found the speed and manoeuvrability to be adequate for the job.My dog picked up the toy with his mouth, but could not damage it. I had to stop the dog from chewing on the antenna. I placed a treat in the place of the driver, as an incentive. My wife said that Amigo had a smile on his face when we finished playing. I got some exercise as well, and I had a smile on my face as too. We have a chihuahua-dachshund cross. I would not recommend this toy for a mid to large size dog, and the toy is best used by an adult for this purpose.

Fun toy, low cost and a good first remote toy car for kids
I am happy with the overall performance and the sturdiness of the toy. I like the back and rotate speed be a little slower as it is easy to overdo it. I did not like the sound when the driver was pressed. The rest of the sound and music is fine. I just have it for about a week and will see if it will last.

Nice car for a toddler, but why can it only turn one way?
The music on this thing is catchy. My son, who was 1.5 yr old when I got it for him, was instantly attached to it. Mostly because of the music and less so about the actual control and movement of the toy. This thing is pretty neat! However, I have two complaints.1) Why does it only turn one way? I know it is to simplify movements for toddler to more easily control, but it still annoys me quite a bit that it can only turn in one direction (beside moving backward).2) Battery drain!! This thing drains battery quite quickly and uses a lot of them to boot. It is what it is, but I sure hope whoever is buying this will have lots of batteries to spare!

Durable and fun.
My child and any child is going to use the antenna as a handle to pick it up. Well that has held up to being pulled on constantly and it's been dropped lots, I think it's reinforced somehow. I wasn't expecting it to survive the sustained play, but it has nicely. It has a very chinese style. Don't know how to describe this, but the box it comes in is hilariously covered in bad grammar funny marketing art. I think the word "realistic" doesn't mean what the graphic designer thinks it means. So if you buy it don't get freaked out and think it's not what you ordered because it is. In the end. Love it, my son loves it and it's still running on the same batteries I put in at Christmas.
