Chicken Plucker Large Killing Cone Mora Knife (Large Home Processing Kit)

Makes culling our chickens much easier. Great investment.

The cone is sturdy, easy to hang and use even with big birds. The knife is pretty much useless. Sharp the first time I used it. Finish started peeling off after I washed it. The plucker is bulky and difficult to handle. I tried putting the bird in a bucket but the fingers seem too long as it just whipped the bird around violently. Much easier to just dip and wipe feathers off with a rubber gloves. A lot less damage to the bird. Over all the best part of this deal is the cone. Very sturdy.

The chicken plucker works really well for the price.

I burned out a good drill trying to hold this in a stationary location to work. It will pluck the feathers as all of these type of devises will but this drill unit is problematic and messy. I will look into a homemade wash tub version before burning up more drills. The cone works fine and the knife is okay, easily sharpened but I have much superior knives as I'm sure you do also.

We haven't used the "plucker" yet...however the killing cone does not fit a turkey. The cone is too small. Our turkey wouldn't fit far enough into the cone for killing. The knife and sheath is nice, sheath is plastic but still convenient. We are keeping the cone bc we kill chickens too and my husband says it will work for our meat chickens. So I didn't contact the company about returns.Note too that the plucker requires scalding which I didn't read in the item description (slightly disappointed about that as well).

The kit works great for harvesting our chickens.

knife is ok. kill cone came apart and I had to pop rivet it together. plucker needs to me mounted, does not work off a drill
