This power brick produced the voltage it is supposed to (tested with a fluke). The build quality is good. I don't think that the brick itself or the cords will wear out too quickly with normal use.

Unfortunately age has shown. On my old power supply, putting it in and out of a back. Was able to pick it up to find it is exactly the original power supply that came with my unit.Brand new and ready to go. Swapped out in under a minute and was able to retire my old one!

Works fine but laptop gives power warning prompt. I assume it’s because they want you to buy OEM but not sure.

These are always so tricky to review, because really, what do you even say? It plugs in, power comes out the little side, it do what it should do.To get a little more detailed, the LED indicator is a nice touch, the socket fits nicely(I'm using it for a little Dell dock I picked up elsewhere, a little TB16), the brick is sturdy and nothing feels loose, the socket to the wall is a standard C13 which is Great, because if I ever need to swap that cable out, that's a VERY easy replacement, and honestly, it just does what it's supposed to.Power supplies are like hard drives. If they're working right, you never notice. You only ever notice when they go horribly, horribly wrong. And this one? I Just plugged it up and I already don't notice it.

I ordered this for my G15 Dell Gaming Laptop. It came with the huge 330w power brick which is great for gaming, not good for travel. This is a 240w power supply and you can see that it talks to the laptop and the laptop adjusts itself for the lower wattage, which is fine when I am travelling and not pushing the machine with heavy gaming. While this power supply still has the same width and length of the 330w, it is half the depth making it much easier to fit into a laptop bag. Power cables are also much more flexible making it easier to fold up for travel and the biggest thing, it weights half as much. I am very happy, the label shows it's a Dell adpter and it's UL rated. Thanks and will purcahse again when in the market!

My old charger died so I had to use a lower wattage one for a while and I used to get the “low charger” bios message all the time at startup.This 240w charger works great for the M17. No message, just like the original one.It’s just like the original, a little bulky but it has to be. There’s a nice cable management tie on it making it easy to store it, and the blue LED light is very bright and strong.It feels well built just like the original.
