Bought due to insomnia now do. Not suffer at all

After using a couple of different sleep masks, alternately over the past few years and requiring one every night, I finally wore them out. They weren't the best quality and as the elastic wore I found myself tying knots on the back to keep it snug on my face on one. The other just wore out. So, I found myself on a search for a new one. The first one I picked up at a big box retailer for less than $3. It can be found on Amazon for about the same price. It has two small 'adjustable' straps with bizarre small plastic clips whose purpose I could not determine as there were no instructions. They would not stay firm on my face and slid off my eyes repeatedly throughout the night. I didn't want to start tying knots again, especially on a new mask. This would not work. I began to look at the many, many, many other options on Amazon. The next mask I bought were the ones that have 'slots' on the elastic headband to store ear plugs. This mask was comfortable on my eyes, But the place that stored the ear plugs really aggravated my ear(I have an 'industrial cartilage piercing). The mask constantly shifted from my eyes throughout the night. The band is adjustable, But the snugger the fit, the greater the ear irritation and pressure on my head. This, also would not work. So, the hunt continued. I remembered these from my previous searches and decided to give it a try. Initially, the design was strange to me due to the cupped look of them, which is one reason I steered clear of it before. Well, now I have it and what can I say? They are awesome! They are designed with a kind of cup configuration covering your eyes so there is no pressure on the eyes at all. It blocks 99% of the light. I'm sure it would cover 100% if I didn't have a crooked nose due to it being broken a few times. The elastic band is comfortable and generously adjustable. Also, it has a clip which does not interfere with my long hair. I can see how it would be beneficial to someone who is trying to preserve a hair style overnight and needs to clip it together rather than stretching it over the head. I do not feel it while sleeping. This mask is a set that also comes with 2 pair of memory foam type ear plugs. I don't use ear plugs, but have in the past and these seem quite nice and soft. They come in a small plastic travel case. I am 100% satisfied with this mask set. The way they feel(or don't, because you feel nothing, not even the elastic band) on the eyes is extremely comfortable. I only with wish I had found this design years ago. I can't see myself buying a different type of mask ever again. Oh, and the color is nice but irrelevant cause your eyes are closed and the pattern is on the outside! Although it is an attractive color/pattern. I highly recommend this mask. Buy this set and be done with it!

This item has some glaring design flaws that actually hurt.The plastic strap clip is the worst. If you're like me you never unclip a face mask — it's an elastic strap so why bother. Well this plastic clip makes it horribly painful if you lay on it, which depending on your head size could mean the position you sleep in. Not great waking up because a clip has started causing pain, tenderness, and giving you a headache.The strap is rough and it's edge saws into where your ear meets your head just enough to be painful and irritating. Horrible sensation that makes it unable to be worn for more then an hour before the location is too raw to continue wearing.The sculpted nose portion is too rigid and too small for medium/large noses like myself. This causes the mask to slide up the face upon laying down, which messes up the positioning, letting light in as well as the cushioned edge to sit directly on the delicate eyeballs.All of these together make the mask a horribly uncomfortable experience.The build quality is also so bad that washing it once with delicates on cold and letting it air dry has caused the material to peal apart. It's not even stitched on it's just glued so getting it wet at all would probably see this stuff falling apart.This is thouroughly the worst sleep mask I've ever purchased as well as one of the worst items and most painful items i've purchased specifically for comfort.

I couldn't be happier now that i've found the perfect sleep mask. The fabric is comfortable and lightweight so you don't really feel it on your face, plus it provides a complete blockage of light. The slightly raised contours take all the pressure off your eyes so you don't get the irritation of traditional masks that lay flat against your eyes. There's also an adjustable strap for the perfect fit. I'm a frequent traveler as well as a very light sleeper and I've finally found the best mask for comfortable sleep. Another bonus is that the unique design won't interfere with eye makeup or creams. Great value for the price too.

I recently started working nights and had to find something to cover my eyes to make my brain think it was dark in order to get sleep. I initially tried a cheap product I found at a local big box store. It was of a thin, soft material, black in color with two very thin elastic bands. Each band came with an equally small plastic adjuster I never could figure out how to use nor did it come with any instructions.I bought this product as a replacement and it works great! Because of the design, my eyes do not feel any material against them and the elastic strap adjusts well to the size of my head. The adjustment buckle does NOT catch in my hair and I have long hair. The only reason I did not give this product a 5 star rating is because sometimes I can detect the slightest bit of daylight coming in from the bottom of the mask as I move around in bed. This could be because the mask itself is just a little big for my head. Still, the product works well enough for me to get my needed sleep, which is why I bought the product.

Update (16 Jul 2016): While I still wear the mask, it has completely fallen apart. Knocking it from 5 to 2 stars. It's never been washed, and certainly isn't abused so I'm not sure why it fell apart after a few months! Very disappointing. I would still purchase again because it's still comfortable and gets the job done.Original Review: I bought one last year prior to a trip overseas. I absolutely loved it and used it for both traveling and home use. Ear plugs were a nice bonus. Flash forward about 4 months and I thought I lost it traveling so I bought a second set. And then of course I find my first one. These are super comfortable, block every type of light out. Would definitely recommend.

Previously I had the "Bedtime Bliss" mask which I'd ordered on Amazon a year+ ago when I realized I could wear an eye mask to bed if my partner wanted to be in bed next to me but on his laptop. WHOAH LIFE CHANGING. I left that one on a plane in December and was eager to replace it. But, that one didn't fit *quite* perfectly so I figured I'd try something different. And I'm so glad I did! I have a fairly small head and a non-prominent nose. The other mask always had a gap around my nose, which was fine, but could have been better. THIS one is perfectly snug around my nose. If I'm in a certain position, a teeny sliver of light shines through (in a fully lit room); otherwise, nothing. And, I like that the strap is adjustable with a clip instead of Velcro.TBH the green leaves are a little weird looking on ones' face; I maybe should have just gone with the black, but I like the pattern when I see it sitting next to the bed.

I love, love, love this product!!! I am extremely sensitive. I am an intuitive life coach with clairvoyant abilities. I have amazing vision at night and can see lots of different dimensions in the dark. This makes me be easily awakened by any form of light. When the energies (cosmic alignments) -- new moon/full moon are above my energy gets volted! Creating it difficult to get a goodnight's sleep.So grounding myself is imperative! Drift to Sleep product offers me to hone in on my heart beat, creating a womb like affect on me. Pitch darkness creates a soothing affect. Makes me feel safe, nurtured and drifts me into a deep rem state. Causing me to get a well rested night's sleep.I didn't give it 5 stars because i wish the elastic would not wear off so quickly! I wake up in the morning with it half off. It doesn't stay on the whole night. Guess i am too restless in my dreams?! Love the earplugs, love the mask and i love how it comes in a box where i can store it!

I've taken my time and agonized over how many stars to give this mask.I sleep so much better when I wear a mask, but it is very hard to find a good one.This one is better than most, but not perfect.Pro - The clip closure doesn't rip out your hair like Velcro closures do.Con - The clip is really, really hard to open, but if you're like me you won't really need it because you'll just slip the mask on and off once you have the length of the strap where it's most comfortable.Pro - It's made of material that is stiff enough that it doesn't rub your eyes like traditional satin masksCon - The material is really stiff. The first time I wore this mask I ended up with deep dents in my forehead and cheeks. It has since softened up, which is good. The nose piece is also way too narrow for me, so it often feels like it's pinching my nose shut. Whether this would bother someone else depends on the shape of your face, but either way it does seem to get better as the mask softens.Overall this is the best mask I've found to date, so I highly recommend it, but I do still dream of the perfect sleep mask, which I don't think they've made yet...

First off, there is no such thing as a perfect sleep mask. Someone needs to build a better mousetrap sleep mask. ;-)I'd suggest not to just rely on a sleep mask alone at home; do whatever you can do in your bedroom to reduce or eliminate any light seeping in. Whatever it takes for the windows, including foil. Foil is cheap and southern and a lot of people do it for very good reason, b/c it works better than just about anything, especially if you tape up the seams well. (if you are concerned about the external aesthetics carefully tape up an overlapping layer of white poster board first - btw, white board will only block 30% at most unfortunately so you need the foil too) Also, rid yourself of the alarm clock with the bright digital display, get rid of any night lights, tape over or eliminate in the bedroom any and all devices that are lit at night including light switches or even some fire alarms. There was a study done re sleeping and melatonin where all light was blocked in the bedroom visually, *except* there was one small pinpoint light aimed at the back of the knee and even though the subjects could not see it and the room still appeared to be dark, this had a measurable negative impact on sleep and melatonin levels.Keep 'er dark as possible folks.Even if you do all this, these are great for travel situations and this is one of the best masks I've found. This review is for both the emerald and midnight roses masks as they are identical in functionality and I have both.Positives:- Contoured eye area. Allows for free eye movement and blinking throughout the night; very important.- These have an easy to adjust buckle closure; you do not want a velcro sleep mask, it catches on your hair and is a pain to adjust.Negs:- Although the nose bridge somewhat helps to block light, it sometimes doesn't if the mask shifts up.- Doesn't work as well if you side sleep. The mask will tend to shift around then. Ideally we should all try to strive for an on-back position with a pillow to support the knees and put the spine in proper alignment as well as a pillow that properly supports the neck -- but believe me, I know it is easier said than done sometimes as there is just something so primal and soothing about curling up in that left side position. If you can manage to back sleep consistently, the mask works extremely well.Anyway, 5 stars for the seller and 4 for the product. If you like this mask you'll probably want to get another one as a backup for sanitary reasons as the mask should be handwashed once a week; don't put in a washing machine and air dry.

I mainly ordered this because it had a little buckle on the adjustable strap instead of velcro. To me this puts the product above the rest. I tried it on in the daytime...because it just now arrived...and the fit is comfortable and it completely blocked out strong sunlight. The ear plugs are a plus. This product is black on the exterior and purple on the interior. Just so you know. I love that color combo. Considering we are in lock down and will be for sometime...this was a good option to hunting around stores, which would not be possible now anyway. I think I am REALLY going to enjoy this product. Note: I always do a blanket stitch around the edge of my sleep masks. People complain about masks eventually coming apart...just a quick blanket stitch around the edge of the mask solves that...and helps the mask last much longer.

I loved this sleep mask when I first got it, it blocks out so much light, fits beautifully on your face without smushing your eyes, and stays in place when you sleep.Unfortunately I have been using it regularly over the past 6 months and it has started to fall apart. The layers of the sleep mask are peeling apart from the edge along the nose bridge and the forehead. I'm disappointed that this product is starting to fall apart after only 6 months of normal use. I thought that for as well designed as it is (and the price) the materials would be more durable.

10/7/17 Update: this was my 2nd one of these, and it is still A+ in function, form, and comfort. The problem for me is the length of the strap. I'm small-boned, and the strap stretches out too fast for me. When it gets to where I can't make it any shorter, the buckle sits right on top of my ear. I'm a side sleeper and that is not great, but I have been able to get accustomed enough to tolerate.The first one was usable for awhile, although as it stretched out it was not on anymore whenever I woke up (not the mask's fault I'm a restless sleeper though). But the second one came with an even longer strap, so it was already as small as it would go in no time. I mean like barely two weeks.I love them otherwise and better than any others I've tried, but they're too pricey to be replacing every 2-3 weeks. People aren't one size fits all. I just wish there were like a kid's version of these; would be awesome.

Sooo happy with this sleep mask! I love the pattern and it blocked the light completely from the tiny lights around my room. Also,I have long hair and the buckle was so great because it didn’t snag like some of the Velcro straps do. I love the little case that came with the earplugs- it is all so cute!

I was excited by the reviews of this 3D eye mask, and bought it to replace the one I had used for 3 years which was no longer available. This new mask worked well for only 2 months before the covering material started separating from the internal foam. I was traveling and could not return or replace the mask, so I had to continue using the faulty eye mask well past the return option date. Based on my initial one star review, I was contacted by Chris from CAL Products who offered to send me a free replacement eye mask. The replacement eye mask is working perfectly, so I've upgraded my review of the eye mask and the customer service provided by CAL Products to five stars!

I love this mask! I ordered the Nidra sleep mask several months ago. I was glad that it did provide full blockage from light. But, it was velcro closure. I had it as tight as I could possibly close it and it still slipped off my head because the elastic had quickly stretched out. The adjustable clasp with this one is much more secure on my head but not at all uncomfortable. The nose coverage area is also smaller but that actually works way better for my face shape and nose. I have not used the ear plugs. I feel like I have tiny ears or something because even the tiniest Warburg are painful for me. I will not be using those. For the cost, the comfort and clasp of this mask, you are definitely getting a quality product. I ordered the green one first. I would like to order another one soon just to have an alternative. I seem to be very sensitive to light when sleeping. Even the little dot on my phone charging is distracting. This really helps me to refocus on trying to get to sleep if I pop my eyes open and it's pitch black. The molded cups are fantastic and do not prevent me from opening my eyes. Love this mask!
