Review: Saved my 25 year old hot tub - This was my desperate last chance to fix a leak that had started in my 25 year old hot tub. I was skeptical about this product solving my problem but figured it was worth the gamble to save the tub. Well, it worked great and hasn't leaked again for over a month now.
Review: The Real Deal! - I followed directions to the T and...@#%*! THIS STUFF WORKS!! As a repair tech I'm well familiar with "stop leak" products used in many industries. Some work better than others and exact circumstances can make all hit or miss. I was actually pretty skeptical about the ability of a working solution (punintended) to fix my good ol' 4-person hot tub, the victim of a winter power failure that caused freezing in the water lines. That would be a fatal condition for most tubs, but NOT the hard-won "portable" tub that I vowed I would never try moving again in my lifetime. Not that there's all that much of that remaining, but all the more motivation to bring my beloved "Think Tub" back to life. So, after rebuilding the heater (too old and costly to replace) and replacing the pump, it was with INDESCRIBABLE sadness I discovered the tub was leaking water from points unknown at rate that would make it more suited as a planter. My indefatigable nature--exacerbated by $200 repairs already expended--led me to Fix-a-Leak. Reviews were surprisingly positive, but even if it wasn't snake oil I didn't have much confidence it would work for my potentially sieve-like tub. After some reflection I decided I could spring for another $22 before crying "uncle!" May well have turned out to be the best $22 I've ever spent! It took me 3 months to garner enough courage and emotional fortitude (oh, and time) to carry out the steps required to check the stuff out. Had I opened the bottle immediately I may have been encouraged enough to try sooner, when the weather was more conducive to the company's online "warm weather" instructions. No matter, they provide instructions for freezing weather as well and those are the ones I followed. Admittedly between those instructions and the actual liquid characteristics I was encouraged. It made sense. The solution is viscous enough, and obviously contains particulates, probably rubberized, that, when well-suspended in the tub water, could coagulate at the leak points and, eventually, HOPEFULLY build up to the point of flow stoppage. In my case, THOSE LITTLE BUGGERS DID JUST THAT! After a single treatment using the 1/3 bottle recommended for a hot tub, the leakage appeared to be completely stopped. The manufacturer mentions that without the drying-out period that is infeasible during cold weather I may need to re-apply come Spring. No worries. There are still 2 applications left in my bottle. Maybe I'll be motivated to update this review down the line. For now I have no compunction about giving this product my unreserved recommendation for pools and hot tubs. I'm a believer!

## Features

- Product 1: With pump running add FIX-A-LEAK slowly through skimmer or in front of any other suction intake.
- Product 1: After adding FIX-A-LEAK adjust suction to main drain. If this is not possible, the vacuum cleaner could be used alternatively, simply by placing the vacuum in deepest part of pool and connect to normal vacuum connection. Set filter valve to normal vacuum position.
- Product 1: FIX-A-Leak is very heavy and will sink to the lowest point rather quickly. It must be stirred back into suspension, either manually using a pool broom or mechanically with an automated pool cleaner every 4-6 hrs. during circulation of water.
- Product 1: After the leak has stopped and given the proper time to cure, (24-48 hrs.) you may return to normal filtration. Sand filters: Set filter valve to filter and resume normal operation. Backwash out unused FIX A-Leak as required. Other Filters: Reinstall filter into tank and Resume operation. Rinse out unused FIX-A-Leak from filter as required.*NOTE* Never let cartridges or DE elements be left to dry before they are cleaned.
- Product 2: This item will be delivered curbside. To have the item delivered to a location of choice on your property, kindly make additional arrangements with a third party provider ahead of delivery

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worked!
*by S***S on December 31, 2025*

It worked great on my large hot tub. I would lose a substantial amount of water in just a day. I added about a quarter of the bottle, following directions. Leak stopped. Has been about two weeks, with no appreciable loss
