Bought this for my teen to wear during his blacksmithing class. It is very thick and appears to be durable. He had no issues with heat or sparks, so it seems to work well. Easy to adjust the size. He also found it more comfortable to wear than the leather jacket I bought for the class as well.

Nice heavy duty shop apron. The leather isn't stiff so it is easy to move around in. Now I no longer burn holes in my shirts when I'm using an angle grinder to cut steel.

I wanted a high quality leather apron for blacksmithing/forging and this nails it! Thick, durable and adjustable for many sizes. Great product, will buy again if this ever wears out.

My family owns a jewelry business where we cast in gold and sterling regularly. We use a centrifugal caster, which can be dicey if the arm is not balanced perfectly. Instead of having to duck to the floor, I can now melt my metals in the crucible and release the arm to cast - even if any metal spins, I have my welding mask on head and my new leather apron on. No burns and no fear now! I hadn’t realized how anxious I was at casting as a result of metal flying. Now I am much more ready to cast and am sure glad I don’t have to squat to the floor every time we release the casting arm! This is thick and beautiful leather. It reminds me of an old world design. They have not scripted on the leather. the craftsmanship is beautiful!

I have a stick welder that I would like to learn to use and I also do some wood working. I thought this might be a good apron for both. It most definitely is! The leather is supple and moves easily, it’s thick, the apron has good front coverage of the body, and there are more pockets than I know what to do with. The apron is lined, which also makes it more comfortable to wear. So far, it’s been great for woodworking when I’m using reclaimed or pallet wood. Protects well. I have no doubt it will be equally as great for welding.
