Would reccomend this book.
Started reading this book, then realised. I had read it 10years ago! More interesting than the authors latest books. Good to know what it was like for special needs kids in the seventies.

Great condition book- heartbreaking story!
This was a "used" book, in great condition an it arrived early. I read it in a day, couldnt put it down, gripped by the heartbreaking story line. I am always amazed that Haydons stories are real life events. Some people sure know how to mess up kids!

Helping 'special children'
Have read many books by this author and enjoyed them, this one was no different as I enjoyed it too. I found it to be sad, heart-warming, funny and enlightening all at the same time! This lady has spent most of her life helping 'special' children successfully and I love reading the in's and out's of how she does it instinctively.

Brilliant
Great book and seeing her love and care for others is amazing. It's inspiring as not all people can see the individuality and gold dust of someone with special needs.

I really enjoyed reading this book, despite concentrating on the relationship between a parent in trouble as well as dealing with classic children she's looked after scenario. Might put some people who are fans of her previous work off, but I enjoyed reading this book.

Somebody Else's Kids
What an excellent read. The children were all absolutely wonderful and it must have been a tremendous privilege to have worked with them. As usual, Torey tells her experience in a charming way pointing out all the wonderful parts of each Childs personality.
