I started dabbling with piano a few decades ago when I was maybe a pre-teen. At the time I used books much like this, but with contemporary songs. I had stickers on my keyboard and followed the notes... I believe they are called fake books. I never learned any music theory or how to play anything that wasn't in that book, but it gave me a fast track to having fun. This is very, very much the same. Your kids may enjoy a nice selection of children's songs, but this really don't teach. It does use both hands, which is nice, but you will want to make sure their posture and hand positioning is correct, so they build the right muscle memory.Fast forward to a few years ago, I got another piano learning book from this brand, and it really helped me on my journey to be better at the piano. I started with that one and then found online resources and other books. That one isn't as instant and you have to work up to reading music with it, but it opens so many more doors for other music. That one is probably better for ages around 10 and up. Whereas this one does allow a younger audience to have fun with it.So, it really depends on what you are looking for. I think having the stickers and using fake books can really be a crutch. It could be difficult to get a kid to transition from a shortcut to then having to learn how to actually read music. With my 3 kids, ages 4 thru 8, I am teaching them to read music and it isn't going that bad... slow, but they are learning. I thought I'd share this book with them, for fun, but they weren't really even that interested. When I tried to use this book, it was easier for me to just read the notes and not the shortcuts at this point in my knowledge level.I will note that some words aren't correct, such as quiz is spelled quize, so it needs more proof-reading. It has a nice selection of songs and is a fast track to young kids playing. So, it is up to you what your goals are for your kid and if this will help or hinder them. The quality is nice, but the technique won't be for everyone.

We got this for my 4 year old. She was interested in piano. We placed the stickers and let her practice. Now she knows some of the songs not even looking at the book. I love this product and will recommend for kids that are interested in learning. Get it!

I think this makes the piano a lot less intimidating for a young learner. The bright colors make it easy to identify the right key, and the video tutorials are helpful. It seems like a good starting point.

When I first started to play the piano I had a color strip for my piano and it helped me learn so much. I'm so happy I found this vbook with color stickers that's very similar to what I used. It will be perfect for my granddaughter to learn to play. I can hardly wait to hear her play!!

I purchased this with a keyboard for my granddaughter and love that it provides good beginner instruction including how to sit properly, finger placement on the keys, and color coordination with notes and songs provided in the book. It's not the end of the world I just used smaller tabs and carried on, but the stickers for keys only have three rows of each though the stickers are supposed to accommodate several keyboard sizes. It would have been nice to have everything standard, but again it's not the end of the world. My granddaughter and in fact their whole family have been enjoying their keyboard as a result, and the simple instruction makes it easy for mom, dad and sister to help the youngest learn as well.

Here is a set of keyboard stickers and a book of music.The stickers are enough for 4 octaves and come in a variety of sizes to cover different sized keys, but do not cover black notes.The book's colours match the book which will make it easier to learn from.We are going to be using this to teach one of the children the piano.The book is poorly bound, using just two staples and no proper binding. This makes it difficult to keep the pages open correctly.The selection of songs is good.

Das ist hier auch so.

This book is such a great idea! We haven't adhered the stickers to the piano yet as we are getting a new piano shortly so I want to save them.That being said, we have labels for the keys we can use, and the book itself is a wonderful teaching tool.My ten year old daughter has spent hours pecking away at the keys and learning the songs - the book makes it so easy! It's colourful and each page has a QR code you can use to review a video on YouTube of that specific song being played. The videos are actually quite well done and easy to follow.I'd highly recommend this book.

Unsere Tochter fängt gerade an, Klavier spielen zu lernen. Ich dachte, ich mache ihr hiermit eine kleine Freude. Die Aufkleber halten sehr gut, das Heft ist leider nur auf englisch. Die QR-Codes haben wir nicht ausprobiert, da unsere Tochter kein Handy hat.
