Aya: Love in Yop City

Wonderfully light and adventurous graphic novel, that presents an interesting and fun perspective on life in West Africa! Beautiful and colorful pictorials.

I loved this book as well as the first series'. There was closure but I hope that there will be more!! I would really like to see if Aya finally gets a guy!!

Love it. it's nice to see characters just hanging out, living lives in the city. Too much drama everywhere these days. Hope they publish vol 3 + more in Eng soon.

Awesome book. Wish they would come out with more.

I've now read all the Aya stories and feel enriched by them. What a unique view into am unexpected Africa! The drawings are beautiful and bursting with colour. Okay, the series got tied up with a neat little bow - shame that we didn't get an epilogue for the title character (hence 4stars not 5) tons of pleasant surprises: ne'er do wells come good, secret children, old grudges buried, and love love LOVE everywhere.

just what l needed

It's nice to see the rest of the Aya books left published,even i they have to be altogether in one volume. Now that the animated movie is coming maybe these books get the attention they deserve.I hope Aubet's new work, being published now in France, comes over by the hand of D&Q
