On the 30th June 1990 in the grounds of Knebworth House a concert was staged to raise funds for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and the Brit School For Performing Arts. It has since been heralded as the "best British rock concert of all time". The breathtaking performing line-up was drawn entirely from acts who had been recipients of the prestigious Sliver Clef Award presented annually by Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy for outstanding services to the British Music Industry. All the artists gave their time and performances for free in order to support the charity and this 20th Anniversary deluxe edition will continue to raise funds so that they can continue their invaluable work. The Deluxe Edition contains the double DVD & the double CD in the same package for the first time. Also included are a replica of the original event program and a replica of the original ticket for the event. These are packaged together in a fold out digipack inside a slipcase with metallic silver ink lettering. Fabulous Gathering of Talented Musicians
I am very pleased that I decided to buy the video of the whole concert. Back in 1990, I taped only the Robert Plant segment. Obviously, I missed out on viewing many other great acts.

Could of been better
This 20th anniversary deluxe edition isn't much different than the separate releases [which are getting hard to find]. It's not remastered [or no indication of it]. It still has the same Dolby 5.1. 2.0 and DTS. It still has the same tracks on CDs and DVDs - except now in one package. The only thing that was included are a replica of the original concert ticket and a mini replica of the original concert programme. There are no DVD extras. What I found odd is how the tracks were chosen. The total length of the DVDs is just over 3 hours. Obviously the 2 CDs can add up to no more than 127 minutes. THe odd part is that there are tracks on the DVD which aren't on the CDs - which is obvious - but there are also tracks on the CDs that aren't on the DVDs such as Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, Genesis' Throwing It All Away, Eric Clapton's Sunshine Of Your Love and Elton John's Saturday Night's All Right (For Fighting).DVD #2 is just over an hour. Clearly they could of added some additional footage and music on the CDs.That said, the concert is probably one of the best single day charity concerts.
