Product Description The US debut from Siena Root,Stockholm's finest stoner rock - a heavy, heady blend of Deep Purple & Iron Butterfly! An experienced live act with roots in analogue old school rock music,Siena Root was founded in Stockholm in the late 90s and developed their unique sound based on heavy organ, howling guitars, bass riffing, big drums and psychedelic vibes! This is the band's fifth studio album and their first to be released in the US! It's nice to hear a band like Siena Root playing it for real in this overly-processed world that we live in. Power to them, and I wish them all the success in the world! - Mick Box (Uriah Heep)

Roots firmly in the Seventies..........
Swedish stable mates of Three Seasons, the band has a central core of 3 musicians, but a small army of others who appear on record and in concert. This is psychedelic, heavy blues rock firmly based in the 70s.The music is fairly straightforward and melodic, filled with a heavy Hammond organ sound reminiscent of Purple in places,Cream and even The Doors. At other times, the Allmans,ZZ Top and Gov`t Mule come to the fore. You get the feeling that the band had fun recording this album; this comes over in the quality of the playing. All the songs are strong and as I say,the performance of the band is also of a high standard.Ok,so none of what is on show is groundbreaking, but you`ll have to go some way to find a more pleasurable offering.I intend to get hold of some of the back catalogue, since this is a band worth exploring further. So if you are into groups like those mentioned above, then this will fit the bill for you.By-the-way,the version of Zeppelin`s Whole Lotta Love(the bonus track) whilst enjoyable enough,is,for me, the weakest track on the album. The one that precedes this "In My Kitchen" is probably the strongest.
