do not buy if you need absorbent or plush cotton tips
these are the hardest, least absorbent q-tips I have ever come across. I use q-tips to apply product to small areas of my face, and it seems almost repellent to soaking any of it in. It takes a lot longer just to get a lot less out of it. they look nicer but are significantly less functional, so I will continue looking for an option that is more sustainable than plastic but will actually work as a q-tip.

I don't understand why it's so hard to construct a swab with the same degree of "fluff" that the leading brand has, but these are better than some other eco swabs, which seemingly skimp on cotton or put just barely enough on either end. I am able to dry my ear canals with a single pass and not shake my first at the sky in anger.

Bamboo - Yet Made in the People’s Republic of China
I am trying to be more aware of the products I buy including more eco friendly items and less products made in China. Unfortunately these are made in China. I will use them, but will not likely purchase again. Read product info thoroughly if you are trying to make an impact. I know there are things I have to buy that are made abroad, just trying to spend my money with more thought.

Better alternative to typical swabs.
The swabs are very sturdy and the cotton stays tightly wound. I love that they are compostable. In terms of sustainability, last swab or something similar would probably be better but this is a step in the right direction!
