Worth trying for the price
The way that I recieved the crickets the first time was great only a few dead crickets and about 6 to 7 large chunks of potato in there for the guys to munch on. And after keeping them in my cricket totes they lasted almost well over a month with food and water changes every 3 days. It was excellent and decently priced. And if you house them right over time these are a great option for breeding as I had got a few pin batches out of them.Buuuttt...Unfortunately this last time I bought crickets. When they arrived I immediately noticed when I opened the box that a bunch on the egg crates were either dead or not moving. So I carefully dumped the dead or weak crickets into a separate bin. While I was doing this I noticed this time there was only 4 small pieces of potato that were heavily eaten.I estimated some 150 dead crickets out of my 1000 order. Wrote it off as stuff happens. But immediately after keeping these crickets in the same totes and environment conditions as my other crickets.these started dying off FAST upwards of 25 to 50 a day. There soils, temp, humid, food and water have been constantly observed and adjusted accordingly to keep the little guys happy. So my review is 4 stars. Its gonna be a hit or miss buying crickets so far ive had a 50/50 experience. But regardless its still worth trying if you have lotts of reptiles.

3rd time and definitely a great buy!
First off I want to say I am so glad that someone told me 1000X to order my krickets from Amazon and from this company and finally gave in and just did it! My life is so much easier not having to run to petco every 3-4 days and half of those dieing on me! Not to mention I buy 500 at a time for $21 and going to petco I would get 3 dozen (because they dont last long) at a time at $.17 cents a piece coming to $6.12 every 3 days or now I spend $21 for $500 and I'm good for almost 3 weeks, it's a no brainer! I've seen a lot of bad reviews and I understand every order can't be perfect but this is my 3rd order and I don't count the crickets because I dont touch them lol but to last as long as 3 weeks their has to be at least 500 and when my new order comes in I clean out my cricket box before putting the new ones in and I never count more than 2 dead crickets! These crickets are fast and full of energy! Thank you so much!

Roche
The media could not be loaded. Update the company replied to me very quickly and offered a refund or replace. The beetles are nor.al and I definitely understand that. I understand sometimes other insects get into the box. Over all not a bad purchesWell unboxing my crickets this big oldRoach came out of the box along woth some small black looking bettels....I am not happy that a roach was in my cricket order and could have potentiallygot loss in my home.....it also does not seem to be as many as 500...on the plus side I did not see any dead ones but also imidiatly panicked when I noticed criters besides crickets starting to crawl around..

All 500 arrived alive and well but unfortunately turned out to be to big for my baby bearded dragon
For anybody wondering and wanted a reference above is my 3 month old bearded dragon (magic) I ordered these crickets because she really didn’t take well to Dubia roaches. I was super happy when all 500 were alive and healthy. But my baby bearded dragon couldn’t eat them because they were rather large and posed a chocking risk. I still think this was a great deal and I was lucky to find someone else who needed crickets. While this may not be ideal for younger bearded dragons slightly larger ones would love these. I found some smaller ones and she loves crickets. (She was shedding when this pic was taken that’s why her tail looks off)

Exactly what I was looking for.
The crickets arrived in much shorter time that projected and every single one was alive and healthy! This isn't something that happens very often.

Lively healthy crickets None dead!
All crickets were received healthy jumpy and alive. Not a single dead cricket was in the package, much better quality than those at petco

Mostly dead on arrival
This just arrived and was opened immediately. Nearly all of the 1000 crickets are dead. There were perhaps a dozen of them that aren't dead yet, but are definitely not doing well. They have been dead for a while as we could smell them before even bringing it in.*Edited to add: received a full refund quickly and without issue

There no way I received anywhere close to 1000 crickets.
Was susposed to be "1000 crickets" which a bunch of them arrived dead. I wouldnt have really been that upset about the dead ones but there no way there was anywhere close to 1000 crickets in my order. *edit Reached out to company and they sent out a new batch the same day.
