Replaced my old gas cap because the sensor came up . Let see if the sensor come up again.

WORKED LIKED A CHAMP

The lanyard on the Honda OEM broke and while I could have just obtained the replacement lanyard/retainer ring, the cap itself is just shy of 20 years old so decided to replace it at the same time. Package came with cap, retainer ring and lanyard. You have to carefully remove the plastic lanyard keeper installed in the gas door hinge to be able to remove the broken lanyard section and install the new end. Everything works as expected - I've included a picture of the OEM and new gas cap side-by-side so you can see what the vent holes look like (OEM on right). I will say the new lanyard is stiffer than the OEM lanyard - only time will tell if that is a good or bad thing. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

This is a pretty good replacement, but I have one complaint and one item buyers ought to know.First, the plastic stem ends with a round part that goes inside a rubber tab that attaches to your fuel door. That rubber tab is not included, so if you are not going to be able to get your existing stem out of your existing tab without breaking it....or if your existing tab needs to be replaced.....bear that in mind.Second is my actual complaint- the ring on which the stem spins around the actual cap is a bit tight, and this results in it catching and trying to pull the fuel door shut as I tighten the gas cap. I'm hoping that'll get better after a few uses.

This gas cap was chosen to replace an existing one that did not have the "tail" on it to keep it attached to the car to help ensure it was not left behind on top of the gas pump.It was easy to install and as no emissions warning has come on, it is safe to assume that it is an appropriate fit for a 2015 CR-V.

I have a 2010 Honda Fit and the gas cap wasn't broken but it wasn't in great shape. Having a replacement gives nice peace of mind in a car where any number of things could go wrong. Solid click when fully closed, high quality.

Not much to say here other than it works and it’s new! Can’t complain at all and it’s very inexpensive with good quality!
