Good shampoo - silly price
I bought this shampoo with hesitation due to the price, however my scalp was so irritated nothing was helping I had been suffering with dry scalp and a lot of hair loss for a good few months then it got worse to the point my scalp was red in places and really sore.so I took a chance and got this due to remembering someone in a health store recommended it to me previously.Anyway im so impressed my scalp was better after a couple of washes the smell is strong but i personally like it.I think i lost less hair when washing but I can't say it helps with hair growth but for the itching and flaking I will definitely keep using it.Also it didn't dry my hair out like most shampoo does.It is expensive but the bottle will last for months.Updated - jan 2023 + sorry but I don't know how you can justify almost £4 price hike? I have been buying this product for a couple of years but think I will soon be trying out something else as I thought it was expensive before but £20 a bottle you are having a laugh...

Helped my itchy, oily scalp
Having suffered with a scalp complaint (itchy, oily hair) for a few years I eventually went to see a trichologist who diagnosed me with an overactive sebaceous gland. He recommended this shampoo which I've used every few days since. While it hasn't cured my complaint it has certainly helped soothe my scalp and make it way less itchy. I still get oily hair but not as bad as it used to be.The smell isn't great but I don't mind it and it far outweighs the itchy scalp I had before.Price is reasonable and you only use a small amount per wash so it lasts a while.

Yes for the effect, no for the smell
I think it has worked for me for the week I've managed to put up with the smell. My itchiness hasn't completely went away in this short period of time, but it has definitely improved to a more manageable state. Unfortunately, it's probably like with marmite, you love or hate the smell. I'm one of those, who can't actually stand it. Was thinking what it reminds me of, and the closest smell I could come up with, is an expired smoked gammon. It's very smokey, but also got some sourness to it. As one of the reviewer said, it is even worse when gets wet, so you don't want to get a sweaty scalp, or you can't run away from it. And it takes at least 3 washes to get rid of this strong smell. I wish so much, the creators of such a lovely natural shampoo could come up with a publicly more pleasing smell, because I would be hooked on for life, despite the hefty price tag. But it might be just like wishing marmite wouldn't taste so terribly bitter.

Brilliant
No one is sure why my scalp is so very sensitive. It’s a mystery to the doctors. I just have to muddle along on my own, cautiously (very cautiously) trying shampoos to find a suitable one. I used to find relief with Polytar, years ago, before they changed the formula. Subsequently I have tried everything on the market from heavily medicated shampoos to the mildest ones and organic options etc. I must have spent a fortune on shampoos that have been used only once and had to be passed on to others as they result (for me) in itchiness, sleepless nights scratching, long tiring days trying not to scratch my head till it bleeds - many of you will know this feeling if you are looking for a shampoo such as this. I am on my second bottle of this fabulous shampoo and am having really good results with it. My scalp is largely calm, I’m getting restful sleep, my hair (though a very little dry) is retaining its curl and looks volumised and bouncy. I personally love the smell as many of the shampoos I have used over the years have smelled atrocious. This one is fresh and outdoorsy. I’m a happy customer and would recommend this one. Though expensive, a little goes a very long way, and as I’m not giving almost full bottles away to relatives, for me it represents great value for money. Fabulous.

Won’t buy any other shampoo!
My Trichologist suggested this to me due to having Chronic TE, Before I started using this shampoo my hair would be really dry, greasy at the roots and VERY tangled. Even though this is a shampoo it makes my hair feel so soft and it’s way shinier! (Not due to conditioner as I switch all the time) I personally like the smell I think it’s smells very fresh and clean but I can understand peoples disliking to it. My scalp always feel really clean and fresh once I’ve washed with this shampoo and the itchiness had completely gone!

Good so far
If you watch the bad hair clinic then you will find the shampoo that they use on their clients for Seb Derm and Scalp Psoriasis. I suffer from psoriasis. For the price I thought let’s give it a go. Initially there was no results. I followed the guidelines. This morning my scalp was soft less itch. The smell isn’t that bad. Morning Try coal tar and you’d say this smelt like roses. I have used Milva and that product soothes the itch. I am assuming these types of fossil and new ingredients all have the same sort of effect on re growth. Is it the best thing since Tgel, psoriderm, Pine Tar? Early days but the surprise this morning says it might be working.
