Very good
Give a bright light all night, charge up well in the day, have survived heavy rainstorms, are easy to fit and seem strong and sturdy. Exactly what we wanted to light up the steps on our decking.

Quite large and bulky
These are actually quite large and bulky. Stick out a lot, so be sure to place somewhere you won’t trip over! These can be easily kicked and cause a serious hazard. As the result, I wouldn’t recommend using them anywhere on the ground, especially steps like the ad suggests to use for! Instead use on areas like edge of wall, plant borders maybe, somewhere where you won’t walk.I like that these are IP66 rated as I don’t use anything below IP65 for outdoor/garden application.Quite expensive, at £5 per light, there are nicer looking models, ours have been installed on the inside of the flower beds so out of sight but cast nice light onto the plants in the evenings.Order if you’re okay with their actual size and with how much off the surface these stick out.

Great for lighting up the garden
These are solid well built outdoor lights that feel substantial when held in the hand. The solar panel on the top of the light housing is large and covers almost the entire top of the light which is a good thing as it will give the batteries a good charge during the daytime. The weather's been poor so far with limited sunshine and plenty of rain but these lights have still managed to charge the batteries during the day and light up the LED'S for many hours into the late night. There are plenty of LED's, 6 LED'S running down each long side of the light and 4 LED's on each short side so a total of 20 LED's on all 4 sides. It would have looked better and created a nicer effect if each side had an LED strip rather than individual LED's showing through the translucent casing but this is a minor issue. It's just a personal preference. The only thing I. would mention which isn't obvious from the photos is that these are chunky and because of this I wouldn't recommend you place them directly onto steps or in areas with regular footfall as your likely to catch your foot on them. The best place to fit these would be on walls. Mine have been put into flower beds and around a couple of trees in the garden where they prouce a very nice lighting effect. In conclusion, these are well built lights but chunky. They produce good garden lighting but do be careful as to where you place them.

Somewhat on the large side
We are having the patio / decking redone and whilst we have electricity running in the garden for lights I thought it would be nice to try some solar LED lights. These are good quality and look robust and fit for outdoor work. They are a little bulky and as others have said you should be careful to place them on vertical surfaces rather than flat surfaces like stairs where they would be a trip hazard. They give off a good light and I am happy with the effect. It should be remembered that solar accumulates power in the summer when you don't need the light and don't in the winter when you do.These are not going to be proper lights to light up essential areas where I need safety lights but rather mood lights that I can place in flower beds (affixed to the fence) to illuminate shrubs or cast a glow over the lawn at night. For that purpose they work just fine.

brilliant for lighting our path!
These little lights are actually really powerful compared to most solar garden lights I have, they are bright enough to light my path but also stay on from dusk to dawn. They feel well made and are quite chunky, I wouldn't put these on the ground where you might trip, but they are perfect against the wall, they seem to take in enough light this way too, although winter will be the proper test!IP66 Waterproof so should be able to withstand the British weather ok, hopefully they will last a while although the price for what you get is good so i'd be happy to buy another set.I'd also like to mention how well packed they are, nice small box with no wasted resources/space, A+!

The simplicity of installation allowed for an immediate enhancement of our outdoor space, proving to be both practical and aesthetically pleasing.

Perfect for Steps
I have a couple of steps in the garden which are lethal at night as you just cant see them, and these are perfect for that.. I just put one on the edge of each step and it makes it so much safer when you nip out in the dark. The lights are not super bright, and I have to admit I think Id have preferred them to be black rather than the translucent look they went with, but they do light well and they last a long time, which I think is because each light has a full 18650 lithium cell in it, rather than those useless little cells you often get in solar night lights. They are very solidly built and I have no doubt they will survive the British weather, my biggest concern is if the solar panel is big enough to really get a good charge into the 18650 battery in UK sun levels. Only time will tell but they are working well for the last 3 weeks Ive been testing them.I didn't bother screwing them down as even in the winds weve had recently they haven't moved, they are heavy enough to keep themselves in place, but if they do seem like they are going to manage to charger properly Ill probably stick a couple of screws in each one just to anchor it fully.
