Excelent game and great graphs
The game has excelent graphs and is very fun to play. Is has varoius languages, my son speaks fluent spanish and this game gave an extra push, not that it has conversation or anything, but he liked to hear it in spanish. A fellow buyer commente that the time factor in the game was a problem, but i disagree. I actually like the fact that you have to keep moving from objective to objective without wasting time.I had some problems when I first ordered this item, it got lost in the mail. So amazon resended the item (a little late for christmas) but it got to my doorstep as expected. You may want to pay for special delivery (just in case)

Batman can lay down a whuppin'!
The Dark Knight. The Caped Crusader. Your Worst Nightmare. Batman has been known by many names. Bruce Wayne has graced the silver screen, the small screen, and the video game screen. Er...the TV...but in a video game. But, as we all know too well, so much can go wrong with licensed games, should we even bother? Well, "Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu" is not going to knock your socks off. It's not going to blow you away. It may however, calmly take your socks off for you and turn on a fan. It's not fantastic, it's not phenomenal, and it's not a masterpiece. It is however, a good time if you give it a chance. In this beat-em'-up, you are given the choice of playing as four members of the Bat-Family: Barbara Gordon, also known as Batgirl; Dick Grayson, Nightwing; Tim Drake, Robin; and, of course, Bruce Wayne (if you don't known who he is then why in the world are you here?). The game chronicles the evil plots of Sin Tzu, a brilliant tactician and dangerous adversary to one Batman. You must stop him, but not before fighting some other, less important villains along the way. And so, the stage is set. It's not a particularly gripping story, but it has its moments. The CG cutscenes thrown in there are decent-looking, and the inclusion of the voice actors from Batman: The Animated Series (including the always incredible Kevin Conroy) help tremendously. Suffice it to say that you likely will not be up at night thinking about the heavy themes this story has pressed upon you. And that's perfectly OK.Here's exactly how this game plays out: you walk into a room (or street or chamber filled with goo) and enemies come at you. You fight until they're all knocked out/dead (because really, who knows?) and then more will come at you. This repeats until you are allowed to move into the next room (or street or chamber filled with goo). It is the 3-D equivalent of a side-scrolling arcade beat-em'-up from the 80's. And boy would that formula grow stale if not for the extensive combat system.Combat is about all there is to "Batman: RoST", so it simply HAS to be good, right? And good it is. With a system that relies on light and strong attacks, grabs and even gadgets for good measure, the combat is kept exciting and fresh. Combos abound, and they're actually doable. The animations look fantastic, the sound effects are satisfying, and taking down a thug with a charged up Tornado Kick is great. The characters all play a little differently, with Nightwing and Batman being stronger and slower and Batgirl and Robin being quicker and a bit weaker. They can all knock out those baddies however, and taking out criminal after criminal is exhilarating. The game even has an RPG-esque system where after each level, you can spend the points you've earned from skillful baddie-bashing to unlock these new combos and gadgets. Smoke pellets? Zap-batarangs? Yes, please. And all this is made even more fun with the inclusion of local multiplayer. This is the way the game is meant to be played. Two friends mashing buttons to mash the heads of enemies is great fun, and with the super-cool team attacks the game offers, you'll do plenty of teamwork. Even if that was so my guy to knock out...And while the combat system is great, there are a few tweaks that could have been made to the game. Enemy variety. We need some. After taking out my 68th non-descript mugger, I was getting a little suspicious. Where were they getting all these matching outfits....? Oftentimes, there are instances where not getting to a checkpoint quick enough results in a failure, and this is beyond frustrating. Sometimes, it seems like the whole game is on a timer! One little mistake can mean you end up being too slow and failing the mission. Been there, done that.Batman: RoST is a solid game. It can be a lot of fun, especially with a friend, and even moreso if you're not pulling your hair out because you didn't get to the hostage in time. AGAIN. But these flaws aside, the game looks great in motion. The kicks, the punches, the batarang-smacks all look and sound and feel great. And that's really what it's all about, right? If you're gonna pummel some baddies, it doesn't have to be perfect, but it might as well be fun. And fun it certainly is.

"Let the battle for Gotham city be joined!"
Hmm...I am back at it, again. Let's see what I'm reviewing today; oh, yes! That's it, Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu. Let's see what I can summon up on this. We'll start off with the story. The story starts off briefly with Batman making his way over to Crime Alley with some roses, to place down where his parent were shoot before his eyes, in memory of them. Then we flip our view point over to the arrogant, if not sadistical, Sin Tzu, who says, while he's standing over a model build of Gotham, "Let the battle for Gotham city be joined!" Then the view point is switched again, to the Gotham city prison, as a series of explosions erupt on it outer wall, with inmates escaping and overpowering a security officer. Once again, the view point changes to Arkham Asylum, as a series of explosions rock the path way leading to the building. The view changes back to Batman, where he senses that something the change and glances up toward the sky. He saw the bat-signal rippling against the sky and quickly got out his bat-communicator and contacted Commissioner Gordon. Gordon filled him slightly on what was happening. After he got off of the comm, he instantly found that he was up against two big, bad guys. Then you are sent into action. I'll let you find out the rest for yourself. You will be fighting four main bad guys in this game. First: Scarecrow, followed by Clayface, Bane, and last but not least, Sin Tzu. The game will (ironically) have also, four super-heroes that you can play as: (you've probably heard it before, but I'll give it to you anyway) Batman, the new Robin, Nightwing, and last but not least, Batgirl. With these four super-heroes at your command, you can administer jaw smashing justice with your special moves (or gadgets) that you buy with your performance points after you finish every level. You can also two players for cooperative fights as you are in story mode. And the game has several sub-modes, like the Challenge Arena, where in four different arenas. There are also other oddities in the Bat Cave section of the menu list; where you can purchase models of heroes or villains or vehicles, or view some comic book strips with tokens that you can buy while you're working your way through story mode. The animation in the game is, both in game and in the cinema tics, in my opinion, pretty blasted well done; or at least better than Batman Vengeance, though, that was a good Batman game that had an atmosphere about it. Some of the cinema tics are kind of sloppy, though. Unfortunately, this game doesn't have much atmosphere about it. Now it's time for some stuff that not is so good about this game. Let us get something straight right away: this is beat-them-up game. These kinds of games can get old really fast, but if you are ok with that, than go on ahead, be my guest and buy this game. The graphics in this game are much better than Batman Vengeance; the cinema tics on the other are not as good as Vengeance's. I personally think that the story is kind of lame, but that could just be me.One of the good things in the game is that voice actors and actress are all the same ones form the New Batman Adventures.Overall, I think Batman Vengeance is better. I give this game four out of five.God is good!-Jake_Smithers

Bat-Attack
Where would we be without Batman? From movies, to toys, and (of course) video games--Batman is everywhere. Luckily this time around I'm glad he made the trip! "Batman-Rise is Sin Tzu" is the first game starring the Dark Knight that I've enjoyed in quite some time. The premise is simple...walk around and beat people up. No thought involved and no real tactics needed. If you can press the button...hey you can win. I miss all those early 90's "beat'em up" style games, which this game pays hommage to. The graphics are well done (obviosly in the dark deco style of the animated series) with superb animation. My one complaint is that all 4 characters can't play at the same time. Makes sense to me since the Gamecube has 4 controller ports, but what is obvious to some seems clueless to others. "Batman-Rise of Sin Tzu" is an overlooked and oft maligned gem. A simple game for simple fun. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
