Creative Pebble X

This works well, has good, crisp, clear sound, and I would definitely buy it again for other devices if I want good sound for an affordable price. The device has multiple modes you cycle through using the main volume control as a button, and sometimes it does seem to have a problem adjusting sound and I had to reboot my computer to make it control volume correctly. It may be because I was in a different mode I didn't entirely understand at the time but I am not positive. I do not feel the device does anything to identify what mode it is currently in in an adequate way so that is room for improvement.

The Creative Pebble X is a great option for anyone looking to upgrade their computer's sound without breaking the bank. Good-sounding speakers, but there are some disappointments. I was hoping that enclosures about the size and shape of a small cantaloupe with a bit sliced off would get a little lower into the bass range. Alas, no, but they do sound good throughout the range that they produce. They might in fact be a bit bright—and that's coming from a guy with 56 year old ears who has been playing in rock bands for more than 4 decades. You want to know what's not bright? The RGB lighting. At max brightness it's not much more than a faint glow. Unfortunately, the app for MacOS to fiddle with these things has apparently been abandoned; it has not been updated for 4 years and will not recognize these Pebble X speakers no matter what I do. Ah, but there is an app for iOS. What can you do with it? Hardly anything. You can't tweak the audio in any way, which is absurd. You can select the same lighting effects that you can select with a little button on one of the speakers, and you can fiddle with the speed, direction, and colors a bit. But something you can't do is simply select a color and have it stay on, which strikes me as really odd. No, you can only have colors fade into each other in various ways. I was hoping I could have the speakers match the color of something else on my desk. Nope. So...these are speakers and they do the main thing that speakers should do pretty well, but the value-added elements are disappointing. I'm on the fence about keeping them as I'm not convinced they were worth the price I paid.

Got my speakers today for my pc I LOVE them, they nice and big and sound amazing. I was testing my FLAC files on them. I set them up with my other speakers to have 8 speakers. I had to use the 3.5mm aux, i tried the USB-c port and the sound does come out much better but unfortunately using the USB-c port makes my other speakers connected by 3.1mm not have any sound which is why i gave it 4 stars, for overriding the 3.5mm port. Sound is loud Didnt try with the blutooth for same reason as 3.5mm There were no directions but setup was easy The only thing is it comes with 2 usb-c cables but no block to plug them in so i am using my samsung one till i get a new block tommrow

I've had these Pebble X speaker for a few weeks now and decided to leave a review. First off, I want to say you can't reasonably expect "audiophile" level quality at this price-point, but with that being said, these are SOLID speakers for their intended use and price-point. I'm using them on a desktop Windows PC, connected via the 3.5mm AUX plug. I did get a USB-C PD charger separately so I could get the full 30 watts RMS. The bass response is definitely there, just don't expect it to shake the walls. For my needs, meaning casual music listening and PC gaming, the bass response is entirely sufficient. If you want more bass, you can opt for the set that includes a subwoofer. The RGB lights are kind of cool, but they're not really my thing. They can be shut off if you want, though. Connecting the speakers is as easy as it gets: you plug them in... Hard to go wrong here. The Creative app is nice and I definitely suggest downloading it. The app is free, easy to use, and comes with several EQ presets for both games and music. Get the firmware update for the speakers, while you're there. In short, I'm finding these speakers punch well above their weight class, with plenty of "oomph" for anything I'll be using them for, and then some. I have zero complaints and I would recommend them in a heartbeat for casual use. Just don't forget the firmware update.

I bought these for my new gaming rig to supplement my headphones. They seemed decent from reviews, but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular for $100. They're really better than I expected though. Good clear sound, a surprising amount of bass from speakers of this size and no subwoofer. Be aware that they come with a second USB-C that you need to plug into a 30W or more wall adapter (not included). They'll work without it, but they sound like a pocket radio from the 80's. Fully powered up though, these things slap. There's also an app that you can use to control the RGB, equalizer settings and all that. And they look nice and don't take up a lot of space. Definitely happy with these.

First of all, I'm an audio guy, and bad sound will annoy me. These don't annoy me. But you need to consider your use case. I replaced a computer monitor with a larger curved one, but still kept it on my desk. The new monitor did not have speakers. The Pebbles, near the top of the Pebble lineup, sit nicely on the desk just behind the monitor curve. They appear to have been actually designed by someone who could solve a speaker enclosure as an equivalent electrical circuit, so these are 4th or 6th order Butterworth box designs using a speaker and a passive radiator. This gives adequately deep bass extension so that movies sound OK. You do NOT get much real low bass, but plenty down to perhaps 75hz. I don't use a sub with them although some people would want that. (There is a model of this speaker packaged with a sub). The user will be sitting in the speakers near field, and they are just fine as near field monitors. Their FQ is a lot less wonky than some others, and they provide adequate treble and air without sounding tinny. Nobody would mistake these for serious High Fidelity, but they are just fine for what they are. And if an entirely adequate speaker that gets mid-range right is what you want - these are for you. The LED light show is just a bonus, and can be managed via the excellent Creative app.

At 65% of the full volume, I have to take out 1/2 of the audible range of frequencies in order to not hear the speakers snap, crackle, and pop. At this point, this pair of 100$ speakers is barely better than the built-in monitor speakers that come with my average monitor. The Creative speaker firmware disables useful Windows audio enhancements, and the program that controls the bells and whistles is practically unusable with a 10-band, yes 10-band and only 10-band, EQ. Attached is a picture of the actual EQ I have to use in order to listen to average rock music without the...whatever this is? woofer? crackling. BUY. ANYTHING. ELSE. This is nuts. Turn-tables-out, there may be more to this story: using USB instead of USB-C alters the sound from Windows, and Windows itself seems to alter the sound quality of the high end signifiantly vs Linux. I do not have a testing laboratory, but these speakers may, under slightly different conditions, work excellently; timbre can be reproduced, which is the gold standard for $100 speakers. Regardless, the EQ is correct.

Très bons haut-parleurs. Discret ils ne prennent pas toute la place sur mon bureau. Le son est parfait pour moi. Le son des vidéos et des films est suffisamment clair.

Para el costo esperaba más. Se escuchan muy similares a las bocinas de $700 pesos (40 dls) que tenía antes, quizás solo un poco mejor, pero por el precio no lo valen.

I'm a headphone person. When I want to listen critically, I put on my Dan Clark Audio or Focal headphones. My headphone amp and DAC already take up a good chunk of space on my desk, and I don't want to give up even more space for big speakers. But sometimes, I still want to casually have music in the background while I work on the computer. The Pebble X seems like the perfect solution. The space footprint is pretty minimal, and the low height of these speakers means I don't have to worry about them blocking the monitor or vice versa. I don't feel like there is any drastic loss of quality compared with the higher end headphones that I'm used to. I have tried some other speakers like Bose Soundlink Revolve and Homepod mini. I like the Pebble X the best. Make sure that you connect this to a 30W USB-C charger (not included). It will still work without that, but it won't sound as good.

Easy to set up, I'm using Bluetooth. Sounds good for small speakers.

I was shipped a used item (sold by 'Creative Labs (Canada) Inc'). The packaging was ripped and taped back together, cable ties rewound with minor scuffs here and there. It was on sale so I would have paid that for an open-box warehouse deal anyway. I don't excuse their mislabeling though (-2 stars for that) No missing parts and the product functions and sounds crissssp, especially with software eq. Great speakers for the non-audiophile looking for quality sound at a good price.
