Genesis are definitely special in the world of popular music. They began as a group absolutelyworship, then lost their singer and charismatic leader (Peter Gabriel), but were replaced by their drummer (Phil Collins) and, with him to the front, they met a level of unexpected popularity. In our hit series 'The Many Faces' explore the inner world of Genesis, little-known projects of its members, their collaborations, we also include some of their most emblematic songs in unfamiliar versions and discover the beginnings of the group, when they were still a group of students who never suspected that Genesis would become one of the names bound in the Rock Culture of all time. The Many Faces Of Genesis is a basic disc, showing the scenes of a single band.

Only for the money
nothing special - it's just the suits making a little bit of extra cash out of stuff that you wouldn't otherwise buy. It's all about selling the brand name of Genesis. There are some reasonable tracks but unless you are a hopelessly devotee who can't live unless you have absolutely everything.........There's nothing special about this release at all

How could it be anything other than 5 stars; it's Genesis. Being a long time fan of Genesis it was nice to hear a different slant on some of the originals. The Ant Phillips tracks and Los Endos are are my favorites.

Good sensible purchase
The third disc makes this set a five star for me. A collection of tracks, most of them I have heard but great to have a copy in one place. I particularly like the genesis generic packaging and find the whole set well worth the money.

Unexpected pleasure
As a lifelong genesis fan, i was not expecting too much from this compilation, however was pleasantly surprised with the choice of tracks. ant philips early contributions to the genesis sound is underrated.. Check out his Cds if you like the tracks on this one.

Nice but not a must for Genesis fans
It's interesting to see what famous artists do next to their main act or what other do to their songs. This isn't a prog album but a mix of all kinds of genres. A nice to have thing in your Genesis collection but not a must.

Disappointing
The most iconic tracks on the album (side 2) are performed by other artists and are poor versions of the originals recorded by Genesis. Unlikely I will listen to the album again. There are far better albums to buy by Genesis, such as "Trick of the tail" and "The lamb lies down on Broadway".
