a worthy attempt
Along with Hell In The Pacific which is a classic, this movie explores the middle ground where enemies and let's call them combatants adjacent to the main conflict, meet in the shared desire to survive against the primary 'directive' to kill. This is a worthy attempt to rehash some of that.Too much darkness, too few tries at hand gestures, hints at communication and shared emotions make this a sorry shade of the real thing. They get no where, they have hardly an 'adventure' if you want to call it that, and there's so little conflict resolution, so little to work with.we the audience just can't really care.

Fantastic. Immersion in the rhythms of the jungle and an unique personal journey
Incredible film. A lot like the "Thin Red Line,' in its incredible photography and meditation on the rhythms of the jungle. But, this is a more personal journey, as there are only two main actors. Also, the movie gives the strange feeling of being in a cocoon, as an air war goes on over the treetops....Warning -- For those who want gore, Rambo or PlayStation, you won't like this...

Enjoyed this, even though there was not much talkin ...
Enjoyed this, even though there was not much talkin at all, the cinematography was awesome and that is what made the movie, as a former ranger on over 500 acres of land, having been gone from there for about 2 years, it brought back wonderful memories, of a place we loved dearly, so our eyes and heart were glued on the beautiful scenery .
