Works well to charge LIR2032 batteries. Not for charging regular non-rechargeable CR2032 batteries.
It seems like more and more devices use CR2032 batteries, from Air Tags to smart home sensors and remote controls.I wanted to try compatible rechargeable batteries to see if they have any advantage over non-rechargeable, such as lower cost, etc.I got some LIR2032 rechargeable batteries, and this charger works well to charge them. The instructions recommend using the 40mah to charge LIR2032 batteries, or 70mah to charge them faster. I think that in most cases with rechargeable batteries, the lower rate is more gentle to the battery, and will help the battery last longer, so I use the 40mah rate.The 20mah rate is recommended for lower capacity batteries, like the thinner LIR2016 and LIR2025 batteries.Do not charge regular non-rechargeable CR2032 batteries as they are not designed to be recharged, and I believe that this might actually be dangerous.Stay safe!
