This thing is ock solid. I got this to mount a 7 inch Garmin chart plotter. I have yet to build up the guts to drill the required holes in my boat, but I have no doubt this mount will serve its purpose both in the way it can articulate and how sturdy it is. This is a VERY solid mount, 5 stars.

The WINDFRD Aluminum Fish Finder Mount is a good solid mount. I put this on my boat and I don't worry about it vibrating loose or failing. Considering my fish finder is over $300.00 this item is a great value to protect that investment. It's important to note that most major brands should fit with minimal issues.The marine-grade aluminum is a huge plus. Once mounted this unit can be moved to any position you wish as it is attached to an upper and lower ball. So, it is very accommodating.I needed to contact the seller. They are very responsive and attentive to the issue I presented. This is the standard of customer service others should model their assistance after. This is a great product.I recommend this as a reliable product that functions exactly as described.

This thing is extremely heavy duty. Simple enough to assemble and mount using the 1.5 inch ball. The vice has a nice and appropriately sized handle for easy adjustments. No issues with mounting 9 or 10 inch Garmin screens. The arm assembly is metal, and very thing metal at that. I've tested out a few of these, with this mount being the sturdiness and thickest of them yet. Needing to ensure your fish finder stays in place in 5 foot swells, this mount should do it.

In and around the house and workshop (two seperate buildings) I have installed many security cameras. I take security seriously and it's about a 50/50 split between fixed and PTZ cameras. The head/control system for these supports 32 cameras and I can still put up 6 more.There RAM 'type' mounts are absolutely a perfect way to mount almost all of them.This particular one uses 'C' sized (1.5") balls and sockets which are considerably stronger than the normal 'B' size (1").It is about 95% aluminum and I have no doubt that it will hold up just fine for many years just like all the other ones have.Fit, finish and construction on this is top notch. No flaws to be found.I see this as a very good deal and I'm glad I got yet another one. Easy to recommend.
