Decent Ballz!
I've purchased leca from the same seller before so I had no qualms with purchasing from them again. This time I ordered the 10lb bag. I don't have a scale but it felt like 10lbs to me. It arrived within a plastic bag that was shipped in a Size Medium USPS Priority Mail box. It was jam packed with leca (just so you have an idea of the amt of leca you will receive at 10 lbs). The balls are not uniform in size and shape, although I believe that this is the standard from all or most other manufacturers of leca. A majority of them are round, some are an odd shape, some are broken pieces but none of this really affects how these balls perform. At the end of the day the only time you really want uniform unbroken pieces of leca it is if you are intending on using them in a clear pot so that it looks more presentable but honestly it really makes no difference in the performance and it works just as well. So I am perfectly happy with my purchase. People just need to understand that these are clay and they can be prone to breaking if impacted. I understand some reviewers stated that the balls are quite dusty. But again it's pretty much the same concept as a bag of cereal. When you get to the end there's just cereal dust at the bottom of the bag. So with these balls you just need to rinse them and they're good to go. All I did was go outside and filled 1 bucket with water and dumped the leca in it, swished it around and strained them from that bucket into another empty one using my colander to strain. It's as easy as that.

A whole new hydro game
First time Leca user here which means I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect. I was pleasantly surprised how in tact all of the clay was and how easy it was to rinse everything. I had expected much more mess than what I ended up with. My 20lb bag repotted almost every plant in my house (approx 30 small sized). I can already see some of my plants sprouting new leaves and others new roots. Looking forward to many more years of Leca and will be back here to get it!

“Crazy for LECA Balls”
I have enclosed pics. I was leary when I opened the box bc they were just in a poly bag. So I carefully lifted it and weighed it. It weighed exactly 10 lbs. Thank goodness I had an old cat litter container to put the bag into. Put some in an old hospital plastic tub to soak over night. I am very happy w/ the size and shape and there weren’t very many broken ones at all. They did remind me of the cereal, “Cocoa Puffs”. Dust was at a minimum. I will rinse outside in the grass as to not clog up my indoor pipes. Fast shipping.

Item is great, packaging is lacking
The balls came in a small thin plastic bag in a carboard box which made storing it very difficult without purchasing an additional container. They were as described and do what they're supposed to! But it was certainly annoying to have to buy a plastic bin to store them.

Great value and quality product
Due to cost, I was tempted to test my watering skills by forgoing a drainage layer in my bio enclosure, but know myself and what a mistake that would be. These are a great deal compared to some of the popular brands used for this purpose geared towards reptile enclosures and one package was enough to give me over an inch and a half cover for an 18x36 floor bottom. The pieces are large and none were broke up and not dusty. I will definitely be purchasing here for my future enclosures.

Looks and works great! Highly recommend this for Hydroponics!
This is the very first medium I purchased to try my hand at hydroponics. So when I got it I literally didn't know the first thing about hydroponics. I went to my local hardware store's nursery and purchased a tray of strawberry starter plants about 3 inches tall. I did my best to gently clean off the roots, and transferred two of them into a 5 gallon deep water culture bucket with this as the medium. I was basically just testing it to see if I was even doing it correctly, and sure enough not only did they survive, but three weeks later, they are thriving and didn't even have any noticeable transplant shock, if anything it seemed to speed-up growth after transplanting. It certainly is not cheap, but this is by far my favorite thing to grow in! It works wonders in DWC hydro setups, and looks a lot cooler than soil, and even other expanded clay pebbles I have seen.

Great value! Nice leca!
Definitely a good buy! These have much less dust than others I've used. I still rinse them thoroughly but see far less fallout. I like the variety in sizes. True, some are not perfectly round, but to me that gives character and a more natural look.I highly recommend this 10 pound bag of good leca which suits me perfectly on price, quality, and appearance. They also came quickly and were well packed.
