CANCER Constellation Brooch - sterling silver and lab made gemstones: red rubies and lavender alexandrite - MADE TO ORDER

I started working on a new collection brooches featuring the astrological constellations. Astrology has been one of my passions for many years and I've been looking for an idea that would link astrology to jewelry, without it being to obvious or too cheesy. What I like about these brooches is that they are abstract and yet have so much meaning (as much meaning as you are prepared to give them). I am trying to use as much as possible the natural gemstones that correspond to each sign. Here, for the Cancer constellation, I used 2.2 mm, brilliant cut, lab created red rubies and 3 mm brilliant cut (also lab created) lavender alexandrite. The Cancer constellation brooch is made entirely of sterling silver and measures roughly 50 x 40 mm ( ~ 2 x 1.6 inches). It closes at the back with a secured sterling silver pin. It is MADE TO ORDER in 2-3 weeks and will arrive beautifully packed in a black box.
