Good picture 4k.

The movie itself is classic, and watching it in 4K takes the experience to an entirely new level. The clarity and detail are impressive, making every scene look stunning. However, I was a bit puzzled by the choice of packaging. Instead of a Blu-ray case, it comes in a standard DVD case.

What a fun movie to watch! This is just a good way to share with the family of 12 years old and up!

All the formats you’d need right now. Bought cause I’m sick of streaming service availability issues with movies and shows.

While this still has it’s share of fun moments -- all due to Eddie Murphy and Bronson Pinchot in his now legendary cameo as Serge, and one really great car chase -the film has lost something over the years. The actual plot feels like a last minute after thought, no more interesting and surprising than a mediocre network TV cop show episode. And whenever Murphy isn’t doing a bit, the air goes out of the film pretty fast. Add to that the ungodly 80s score, and the fact that most of the most memorable moments already stick in one’s mind from seeing it years ago, this didn’t have much replay value for me 30 years later. That said, If you’ve never seen it, it’s definitely worth seeing once - the highlights are terrific - but I’d rent it, not buy it.

For the price I got it at, having every single format in one box makes this the ultimate edition of an old classic film. Plus I appreciate the effort they took to make minor upscaling and surround sound support that makes it closer to a modern film while not going so far that it becomes offputting

This film is four decades old and it still holds up for me today. I’m very much looking forward to the new ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ film on Netflix, but hopefully that’ll get a disc release at some point.

Perfect movie and fast delivery. However don't let the "newer" cover fool you because that is for blu-ray drives that supports 4K UHD. This version don't have the fallback standard blu-ray version. I will watch watch it on Xbox instead.
