Although this is advertised as a pop stick waffle mix, it's really just waffle mix which can be used for other items including pancakes. So far we've made waffles and pancakes and the results have been excellent. They taste great, have a little chew, and crispy. Perhaps the only caveat is the size of the bags being really large that you'll likely need to transfer the mix to an airtight container afterwards in order to maintain freshness and prevent moisture from getting inside. I feel that because of the package size, this mix is better geared towards families that make waffles/pancakes almost daily or if you have a food business where you'll use large amounts daily. Aside from that, the waffles do taste exceptionally well and so easy to make just by adding water in addition to butter or oil.

This OldSoul Professional Popstick Waffle Mix is super easy to use and makes nice popstick waffle and regular waffle. The mix is easy to mix with other ingredients and feels very fresh. I have no complaints.

It doesn’t taste bad, but it tastes fairly ordinary. It doesn’t stand out in particular to other waffles I’ve tried, and the vanilla flavor is not noticeable. It’s $40 for 5lbs so it is expensive for what it is.

First, this mix is advertised for use in making waffles on a stick. But it can be used for any waffles. You can make the Dash mini waffles in the Dash wafflemaker, or thick Belgium waffles or regular waffles in any wafflemaker.This is a 5 pound bag of vanilla waffle mix. It’s in a plastic bag with a single label on the front and an instruction label on the back, no expiration date and I wonder if it was bought in bulk from the manufacturer and then repackaged. There is no ziplock seal on this bag so once you cut it open you’ll need to either bag it into ziplock bags or a canister. Without an expiration date, I would probably count on this mix being good for maybe a year from purchase.It’s so simple to make. Measure the mix, add water and melted butter (or oil) and whisk till smooth. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before cooking and it thickens up.It makes delicious, light and fluffy vanilla flavored waffles. The outside is crisp and the inside is fluffy as it should be. My family loved the waffles and we put fresh strawberries on top, just a little syrup and whipped cream. Just as good as IHOP specialty waffles!

I'm more of a pancake person than a waffle person, but the batter is all the same. So I used this mix to make pancakes. I like to doctor up my pancakes, with banana or blueberry cooked in, sometimes chocolate chips or nuts, but the first time I try any mix, I make it as recommended. Unfortunately I'm just not impressed by the flavor of this mix. It tastes just like the pancakes or waffles you'd have at a hotel buffet. It's not a bad flavor, but it's not one I'd choose to have for my Sunday morning pancakes. Hoping the taste gets better once I start adding in some extra flavors as it's a huge bag of mix.

To prevent the waffles from sticking, I made sure to preheat the waffle maker. I sprayed some oil on the pan before cooking. Waffles have a thicker consistency than pancakes and is more filling to me. This has a hint of vanilla which makes it fragrant. Overall, this 5 lb bag of crispy crust waffle mix is a 4.

I didn’t know anything about this waffle mix prior to buying it. It seemed a bit pricier than the mixes I normally gravitate towards but we figured we could give it a shot. I decided to make some for the kids and my wife on my blackstone griddle. I decided to use coconut oil in place of what it asks for in the instructions because I’m a rebel. And, the kids were blown away. Not only the kids, but my wife as well, and she’s a little pickier with those kinds of things.I should also be clear, in case the blackstone didn’t make it clear - I made pancakes, not waffles. The only thing I don’t understand is the description “on a stick”. Is there something I’m missing here? I just made pancakes, and the family said that they are most definitely better than any of the mixes we’ve used in the past. I personally didn’t get to try them because of dietary restrictions I’ve placed on myself.So..I recommend them. They elevated the breakfast experience of my family, and boosted my ego with all of the compliments. We all won.
