Still Game Series 8 [DVD]

So funny , can watch it time and again.

Still game. Still funny and can be watched time and again. The writers/stars are to be applauded along with co stars and the hilarious character that pops up now and again throughout the series. Just wish they would write more of this calibre!

So Happy this has been resurrect Backnonto dvd I love Jack And Victor and all the rest of this fantastic comedy There are Subtitles for anybody outside Scotland so you can understand some of there lingo (urrainn do shluagh a thuigsinn) No matter where in Britain you are from this is a classic and simply unmissable comedy for everybody

Greg Hemphill is a horror movie fan. You can see this shining through in the writing in some scenes. Especially in episode 2 which is Auld Eric's swan song. In that episode the reaper has come to Craiglang and he's fired up. The Lee Van Cleef line in that episode is a cracker. I didn't watch it on TV. I never watch it on TV same goes for all other shows. I normally wait for the DVD to come out. I prefer it that way. None of this one episode a week nonsense. I prefer Series 7 and this one "8" to Series 4 5 and 6. Those series sold out more. It sounds like 7 and 8 bring back the swearing and a little bit more of the Scottish street slang. Only slightly more mind. In 4 5 and 6 it was pathetic. All this yes no nonsense. Rab Nesbitt never conformed with his dialogue. But this show did big time for a few seasons. Glad it's now trying to set things straight in that department. I like this series it's one to watch and rewatch like the older series. For the next series guys. Stay away from gross gags and death jokes. We know they're pensioners and have wan fit in the hole. But still it's a little depressing to see death related scenes or story lines in sitcoms. I love escapism where we can forget about the negativity in the world outside. An off topic remark here. In the last episode we see Boabby going into a canal. That ambulance driver who attended to him when he got fished out. She had the stupidest expression on her face when she was talking. If that's a smile God help her. Series 8 - 4/5

It's Still Game, what more is there to say! It's Scottish comedy at it's very best! A work of genius, with the best cast going! If you are here to buy it, you won't regret it! If you aren't here to buy it, go on, just give it a go anyway! ;)

Jack and Victor are back for another great series of Pensioners living in Scotland. The writing in this series is superb. You can watch series 1 through 6 on Netflix. After series 6, stars and writers Greg Hemphill and Ford Kiernan went their separate ways. After seven years last year the two returned with series 7. The writing has not diminished, nor has the laughter.

The DVD came in perfect condition. I couldn't wait to view the final season of Still Game until it was available on Netflix, so I looked to see if it was available on Amazon. It was and I ordered it. Well worth it. Thank you!!!!

I love this show and the seasons still crack me up. One of the best comedies I have watched in a long time.
