I've used this about 12 times but three times were a disaster. I made a nice smoothie, but not super thick, and went to remove it from the machine, turned the bottle to get it out and only the bottle moved so the smoothie started oozing out. I hesitate to try again.Addenda: I did use it again succesfully without any leakage - enjoying my smoothie flipped the cover to drink some more and the clasp broke off! Again, still slightly usable but... come on I'm an old lady and should not have enough strength to break a plastic flip clasp!!!!

For some reason, I previously thought it was a good idea to spend less money and get a battery operated product like the one in the 2nd picture. After going through two of those costing around $20 each in two years, I realized I was wasting my money. They are cheap, flimsy, with tiny motors that lock up with thick peanut butter.I finally decided to get a real machine, with a cord, and a serious motor. This Oster (1st picture), is just a smaller version of my big blender. I think I could put rocks in it and they would turn into dust. It’s the difference between a 49 Volkswagen, and a hemi-powered ram truck.If you want a sturdy, reliable machine, that will last a long time, spend a little extra and get this Oster!

I use this every morning to make my breakfast smoothie. Works great and I like the compact size.

I thought this was gonna be so great for frozen fruit with such a strong motor, however the very first time I used it the motor overheated and smelled horrific. It was hot to the touch and even the fresh spinach I had put in with my frozen fruit (with plenty of liquid) wasn't even blended all the way. There were chunks of spinach and my smoothie was warm by the time it was done due to the motor overheating and causing the whole thing to become hot. It's awful. I had the perfect little blender that was so similar that held on for close to 7 years just for this to last 1 day. Much too strong a motor for a small appliance I think. Anyway easy to return through Amazon without having to actually speak to anyone. Disappointed I got charged shipping when it was an issue with the product but I know with Amazon's great costumer service I could have spoken to someone and likely have it waived. Yay for Amazon easy returns. I don't recommend this product thought. Just spend the money and get the ninja magic nutri bullet. It's basically the same price

It is an excellent personal blender. It allows you to prepare smoothies quickly and is super practical.
