I've worn a bite guard for years. Initially, I was a pretty heavy teeth-grinder and developed TMJ (and tinnitus) years ago. I've worn a guard to help protect my teeth and initially got mine at the dentist. I was shocked at the price of those guards (around $300) and not covered by insurance. I was also disappointed that I had to go back repeatedly to get the fit correct and always struggled with my teeth going numb because sections were too tight (I switched dentists after they all told me this was "okay" - clearly, having a body part go numb is not a good thing). Also, the hard plastic that covered my teeth would often rub and irritate my gums, especially when I would grind at night.After one of my dogs found and destroyed my last dentist-bought guard, I decided to try other bite guards. I bought a cheap one that was a softer material - that definitely helped with the gum irritation, but the guard was so large in my mouth that I would end up sleeping with my mouth open and started developing sore throats and gum infections.I switched to this guard and could not be happier! It is small and light, it doesn't cover my teeth entirely so it doesn't rub against my gums at all. Also, the inside of the guard is slightly softer than the outside, so the fit is perfect. I was concerned that I hadn't pushed the mold onto my teeth far enough since the guard only covers about half of each tooth - I thought the guard would fall out at night, but that did not happen. Also, since it is small and really hugs my teeth, I am again able to sleep with my mouth closed and no more sore throats or gum infections!I watched the instructional video before creating my mold and it was straight forward. I think it took around 2 weeks to get back the final product once I sent in my mold. It also came with a case for travel and storage. I clean it every morning with hydrogen peroxide diluted in water using an ultrasonic cleaner unit. Super easy.The only con is that it is more expensive than other options I've purchased in the past (other than the ones I got from my dentist) - but given it's made from a mold of my teeth, fits so perfectly and isn't huge in my mouth (my husband didn't even realize I was wearing anything when I first got it), I'm totally okay with the price tag.Overall, I am extremely pleased with this bite guard. I am a "light" grinder, so the small & light profile is perfect for me. When I need a new one, I will definitely skip the dentist and the cheap options and go with this product again. Highly recommend for any light-medium grinder.

I have had several night guards made by my dentist and my portion of the price was over $300. I never cared for them because the keep my mouth open a bit to far and I usually wake up with a stiff jaw and often times spit the night guard out.....now to this one!Extremely easy to order and make the molds. The directions are very easy. I dropped in the pre addressed and stamped envelope snd about 1-2 later I had my new night guard. It isn't as rigid as the ones from my dentist. It is far more comfortable and fits perfect. I keep it in all night. THIS IS YOUR BEST DEAL IF YOU JEED A NIGHTGUARD! I eish I had had this one 20 years ago, my teeth would not be as worn down. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I wish I'd bought a Sentinel mouth (bite) guard years ago. I've been using the kind you buy at the drug store (boil and bite) and they've always been too large for my mouth causing discomfort and annoyance while sleeping. The Sentinel mouthguard is night and day from those store bought ones. It took me several tries to get the correct impression but Sentinel made it very easy and they were very responsive. Totally worth the time and effort to get the right fit. I've literally had the guard for one night and it's so comfortable. I barely notice I'm wearing it. I can update a few months from now as to the longevity etc.

I love the fact it fits perfect and is so light. I definitely will order again.

I'm a dentist, and I wear a night guard every night. In fact, I have a number of spares for travelling. I was eager to test out this night guard as I know professional ones can be very pricey.First impressions- I think the instructions have to be a bit more clear about the putty mixing. I knew what to do because I'm a dentist, but I think it might be harder for the average person. I got a decent impression of myself, though the putty was a bit stickier than I'm used to. Not sure if that had to do with the heat from shipping.The time for production was pretty quick. The quality of the nightguard is decent, but not to the level of the professional lab that we use. There is some rocking when I'm wearing it, but it will totally work as a spare for me for travelling. I think it could be a little thicker, but it seems okay. I think the price point is a bit high for what you get, but that's from someone who knows how much it costs in lab fees at my office.All in all, a MUCH better product than ANYTHING boil/heat and bite (don't waste money on those).

Every step of the process was quick and easy. The return shipping for my mouth guard was a lot faster than described! It is extremely high quality and I can tell it will last.

Love this items, fits perfect. Only draw back is the edge of plastic is sharp on my lip. After 4 days if wearing my jaw feels so much better.
