I purchased this inflatable dog donut collar the day after my 20-pound Chihuahua-Pug mix had bladder surgery because the plastic cone the vet sent her home with was making her miserable. She couldn’t comfortably eat, drink, or rest, and she just didn’t seem like herself. My daughter suggested trying a dog donut collar, and I’m so glad I listened. As soon as I replaced the cone with this one, it was like my dog’s personality came back. She was much happier, more relaxed, and able to move around comfortably. She could finally lie down without struggling and even used the donut as a little pillow while she rested. I did let a small amount of air out because it felt a little bulky at first, and after that it was perfect. I also love that the cover is removable and washable, which is a huge plus after surgery. Another thoughtful feature is the built-in loops that allow you to thread your dog’s regular collar through for a more secure fit. I’m still figuring out the best adjustment because she managed to slip it off once while I was at work, so it was definitely a little too loose. The quality is excellent, it’s very easy to use, and it’s something I’ll keep on hand for any future surgeries or injuries. For reference, my dog is a 20-pound Chihuahua-Pug mix, and the medium fit her perfectly. I highly recommend this collar if you’re looking for a much more comfortable alternative to the traditional plastic cone.

This is a great product! Super easy to inflate & deflate. Used this "pillow" cone at times when I had to wash my dog's recovery suit. Kept her from getting to her stitches after spay surgery. Very soft, removable cover. This product was so cozy, my dog often fell asleep wearing it. Sizing was spot on, perfect fit! Highly recommended!

Pros: · Comfort: He uses it as a pillow to rest his head. No neck strain. · Mobility: He can eat, drink, and play with his toys without the "clumsy" feeling of a plastic cone. · Protection: It successfully has been keeping him from licking his incision site. He naps peacefully in this within minutes and it's been a week and half now and this has remained inflated. If you are debating between a hard cone and this, definitely choose the donut. This dog cone is soft, comfortable, and well-made, and my pup actually does not mind wearing it at all, which has made her recovery process significantly easier. The size and overall circumference are absolutely perfect for her specific needs, providing just the right amount of coverage without being too bulky. I am not giving this a full 5-star rating, however, because the air valve sticks out rather than being able to be pushed in flush, which can be a bit annoying and slightly intrusive for the dog. It is a great alternative to the traditional plastic cones.

This is so much better than the stiff cone collars from the vet. My puppy looks adorable in it, but more importantly, she’s clearly much more comfortable. She was able to sleep in it and didn’t mind having it on at all, which was a huge difference from the hard cone. It allows her to move around, eat, and rest normally. With the traditional cone, she would stop in her tracks anytime she looked down, but that wasn’t an issue with this one. It still did its job too — even with her slightly longer body, she wasn’t able to reach her incision. She did manage to chew through the inflation valve on the first one, so I had to replace it, but honestly that’s more on her than the product. It worked well enough that I bought another without hesitation. Cost-wise, it’s very reasonable and totally worth it for the comfort and effectiveness.
