For several years, I have been utilizing lens covers from the leading manufacturer in the industry. Motivated by the prospect of exploring alternative options, I acquired a set of these covers for my 600mm F/4.0 lens and was immediately impressed by their quality. In contrast to the ill-fitting competition, these covers provide a snug and secure fit, and the pattern is far more aesthetically pleasing to my taste. I was so satisfied with these covers that I subsequently purchased a set for my 300mm F/2.8 lens. My next target is the 70-200 F/2.8 lens. For my shorter lenses, I prefer to use vinyl skins, which I find more suitable for these lenses than the lens covers.

This lens cover is very nice. It does take a bit of patience and finger strength to get a few of the pieces onto the lens parts as it fits quite snuggly. Yet, with continued persistent pulling, pushing ...you'll get all of the pieces where they need to go on the lens. Once in place, it's great! Have used another brand of lens covering in the past and found it to be 'less than'...fraying and getting a little lose as time went on. This lens covering feels quite different and of more quality.

Fits tight, especially takes some persuasion to get the hood portion on. Once in place, it stays in place. One nit is the flap that covers the controls like the MF/AF, Image stabilization settings, etc. gets in the way more than the protection it provides so I cut it off. The lens is really water resistant/proof enough that you would only need weather protection in a downpour at which time most photographers would be inside anyway.

I'll start by saying that I think these lens covers are over priced for what they are. I take impeccable care of my camera equipment, but after only a few months, this lens cover is starting to fray around some of the edges. If I had paid 1/3 of what I did, I wouldn't mind so much. But this is not OK for something that costs so much.

Needless to say, I am a fan !... have tried the neoprene types and they fray on the edges and get into the connectors with the TC's... I dont really buy them for camo, I buy them for lens protection and dulling down as to not garner as much attention.. suffice to say for wildlife and security and safety, these things are excellent

I have found that the RolanPro lens covers are the only ones with the durability for daily use. All others i have tried have lasted a year or less.The set for this lens fits well.Access to focus buttons, focus ring, and control ring are all unimpeded.
