With the compact size and weight and radio-ready input sensitivity and impedance (200 mV and 47K Ohm, respectively), the Kinter MA-160 is an ideal choice for a motorcycle sound system. Audio performance is above average with less than 0.10 % TDH and greater than 100 dB SNR from the unit’s Twin Power IC Chips. Kinter has perfected the art of the mini-amp, and if you are looking for an efficient, hi-fi choice that needs just the standard RCA inputs, this is it! MA-160 provides great output and allows you to wire speakers in parallel or series (4 Ohm min. to 16 Ohm max.). Bass output is powerful all the way down to 29 Hz while output is true into the upper range of hearing (flat up to 18kHz). The sound from your speakers can be further improved from the bass and treble controls, which are smooth and useful through the entire sweep of the knob (allowing +/- 10 dB of equalization at regular Hi and Low bands). Music is defined and CB radio voices are clear, loud enough to be heard atop outside road noise. Though the unit does not come with a Power Supply, the MA-160 accepts any input from 9 to 14.4 VDC output, meaning if you are using the amp for a home project (connecting with a standard power cable to a wall outlet) you can probably find an AC/DC converter with the output you need. The unit also features a back-lit volume knob with a multi-color LED surround, so finding the control while riding is easier in nighttime conditions. The centered, larger knob also helps that aspect. Overall, the Kinter MA-160 offers an extremely affordable solution to any number of challenging problematic situations. Suited for any number of audio applications where radios, CD players, DVD players, car stereo head units, MP3 docking station and other devices need additional audio power, you can plug in the MA-160 and customize a system to entertain with for years to come!

sounds pretty good but annoying LED
I got this amp last week to replace my previous mini amp which was A drok branded ma-170 amplifier. The old amp started to make weird hooting noises all of the time. Quiet, but ruined the classical and ambient music and audio books. This one has better dynamic range and sounds very good over all. I run it continuously at low volume, and occasionally at medium volume. Runs fine off of a 12v 1a power supply. Though you need a 3 amp supply if you want to crank it up.Pops on startup and stopping. Works perfectly at all other times. I've used with computers and phones. Great amp.I put a towel over it so the Light doesn't mess up my sleep. And I forget it is on cause it doesn't make noise. this is the cheapest good sounding amp I've usedAmplifier only, no power supply or input cord.

Good Power. Dead usb port
This amp powered 6x9 kicker speakers and sounds good. Only issue is the USB port does not charge my iPhone or recognize it to play audio through.
