Brilliant short story from the master himself.

Bought for my husband but I really enjoyed it

A great restoration that really looks brilliant on modern screens. A piece of anime history that I've been telling people about for years. Great to see it re-released again in a very nice package. Highly recommended.

Firstly, I would highly recommend this DVD to any fan of anime. I bought this because I am a huge fan of the late Satoshi Kon, who's contribution to these short films is "Magnetic Rose".Magnetic Rose is absolutely spell-binding. Extremely moving piece of film-making which I found to be thought-provoking. It tells the story of a disillusioned opera singer who wallows in her past, desperately clinging on to her former life. What ensues is unsettling and heart-breaking, but not depressing. The animation is excellent and the characters are well-formed and believable. A successful example of Sci-fi drama.Stink Bomb is no doubt the least enjoyable of the three features, but this is only in comparison to the other two, which are very well-made. I found it slightly infantile and failed to offer any real depth.It's about a man who ingests a pill by accident and so turns into a bio-hazard. It's supposed to be a black comedy, but I didn't laugh once. Poorly executed. Good animation, though.Cannon Fodder is the concluding Episode and picks up the standard again. I liked the animation style, quirky and old-fashioned. This episode follows a day in the life of the citizens of a town where the sole raison d'etre is to fire shells at an unknown enemy. A very clever animation, it delivers a subtle message regarding war economies and the general war-weariness associated with long drawn out wars.I thoroughly enjoyed "Memories" and advise all anime fans to give it a go :D

I don't think I'm breaking any new ground by saying how amazing this product is.No scratches, no dents, no problem with the DVD region. It works just fine.I don't regret buying this product, I do however regret that I didn't buy it sooner.

Excellent movie, worth watching if only for the animation, music and the first segment - Magnetic Rose.Came as advertised, arrived earlier than expected, in only 4 days! Considering this is my first order from amazon.uk to Serbia, I was not disappointed.

No English dub tho.

La película llegó en tiempo y en buen estado. La película son 3 cortos animados muy buenos, habia buscado está película por largo tiempo, viene con subtítulos solo en inglés.

Un’insieme di cortometraggi di un fascino senza tempo. Se sei appassionato di anime classici ti piacerà sicuramente.

Ces 3 cours métrages sont vraiment bons! Surtout les 2 premiers !! La bombe puante est mon préféré personnellement ! Je recommande !!

When I first watched memories, it was the first episode from a website, since I couldn't find this movie anywhere. When I wanted to watch it again I decided to look for it on amazon and I found it!! I watched the first episode again and I am very happy I got the blu ray version of this, the quality is much higher and I am very impressed at the difference! If anyone is considering getting this 3 episode movie, I highly reccommend it, it's pure art!
