good to use endoscope
Before using this device, one must recognize that it is an endoscope and not a monitoring device. The one I received has a semi-rigid cable. Unless your inspection is always straight down into something, you probably would not want to order this endoscope with a soft cable. The packaging was neat and all arrived safely. My cable is five meters in length, with the camera lens and eight LED lights on one end and an USB connection on the other that inserts into the body of the transmitter. Charging is via a standard Android phone charger (5V). It comes with three screw-on accessories, attachments with a hook, a magnet (for picking up objects), or a mirror at the end (to see the side wall of a drainage pipe, for example).I followed the instructions to set up this device. The language on the instructions may be a bit confusing at points and it takes a bit of efforts to fully understand, but not difficult. Once the connections are all done, downloading the app is effortless. So is the establishment of the WiFi connection. However the interface between the transmitter and my phone does not work at all for I am unable to see the image on my phone’s screen. It is a Google phone (Motorola Type M226C, Model: XT1687). It does work with my spouse’s phone (Samsung). Once the WiFi connection is established and all are functional, a small green LED light neat the switch on the transmitter flushes quickly to indicate this fact.I found that the focusing range to see the image clearly is between 3.5 and 7.0 cm (1.38 and 2.76 inches, respectively). Anything closer than 3.5 cm or beyond the 7 cm distance from the lens will not be in focus on the screen. Within this 3.5-cm range, all images are very sharp with high resolution. The semi-rigid cable bends easily to shape and works well with the lens. If one connects the angled mirror to the lens, objects must be between 3.5 and 7 cm from the mirror to be in focus. Since the cable is semi-rigid, if one wants to see in all directions (such as in a drainage pipe or manhole), the cable must be twisted/rotated to see well. When it is necessary, this endoscope may be used as a monitor. Large objects can be seen and are recognizable, just not in focus. The brightness of the tiny LED lights is adequate to see, even in complete darkness. Best of all, the brightness of these lights are adjustable to get the best images or recording. Also, since pictures or recording is made in a short distance, it may take some getting used to to read/see the images.

Must have camera in your toolbox.
The media could not be loaded. Best tool to have. I had a clog tub and instead of calling my Superintendent to fix it, I wanted to see for myself what could be the problem. After a jug of draino and my consumer auger, it still was clogged. With the camera it was clear that something serious had to be done. Seeing is believing .There was more than hair blocking the pipe which my tools were not capable of fixing. With still pictures and video to show my Super, he was able to clear it with easier knowledge of what to do. He was impressed with the camera, he too will be buying it. The camera is awesome. Even in the dark, the build in light lit the way and it was more than long enough to reach down my pipes. I have an iPhone X and the app linked up no problem. I’m glad I have it for future use. Check out my before pic and after video when I got it cleared. Video is HD and super cool to send to friends and or upload for reviews :)

Worst case scenario
I used this with my iPhone, I would rate this 100 stars if I could. Doing a simple plug insert repair on my truck is what I was expecting, and without this, that is what I’d have done... as it turns out, I needed more than a plug for my v10, I needed a whole new block.Without this, I’d have just bored out, rethreaded, and installed a new insert. And had it blow back out again maybe a couple miles down the road or instantly. Upon inspection, I noticed a very large section maybe the size of half my thumb, where there should have been the head of my piston, but instead it was entirely oil.My assumption is my cylinder flooded with oil and the excess pressure forced out my spark plug, or however it happened, regardless it saved me wasted time and money on drilling a plug for it to blow again.

Great for Home Repair
I bought this because I had a leak from a failed wax ring on a toilet. I had to tear out a good portion of the ceiling of another bathroom below the offending one because I had some mold after a long time with a slow leak. I didn't have any way to check if I had torn out all of the moldy sheetrock without just tearing more due to the way the joists were lined up. I was able to use this endoscope to look around and also check underneath the bathtub which was a few feet farther. It's not super easy to maneuver and use any endoscope, but since I wasn't doing surgery, the Sukey brand was perfectly fine for my purposes and affordable at that. Connecting my phone to the wifi onboard the endoscope was not hard and downloading the free app was fine. Just be sure to read the manual. :)
