Terrible Product
I tried to use this bulb weatherstripping for my casement windows. When I pulled out the old weatherstripping I noticed that the kerf fit very tight and was a lot stiffer than the kerf on this new weatherstripping. Because the kerf was so soft and flimsy on this product, I could not push it into the slot on the window frame. I spent 2 hours trying to push it into the slot with a screwdriver and other assorted tools. Don't buy this stuff! Very difficult to install and the kerf is not hard enough to push into any slot on any window. BUYER BEWARE. Just for your info I'm an advanced DIY that just replaced a patio door and rebuild my deck.

Good Replacement Material
This weatherstripping fits with only slight effort into a 1/16" kerf. Any narrower than that and it's likely a no-go, so measure first before ordering. Even better, order the smallest amount and test it if you have a big project. The stuff is excellent for sealing casement windows but not for those areas where it must hold up to a "wiping" action where a surface slides across the seal before it is compressed. It will tear. Again, test first.

Soft & flexible
This weatherstripping is very flexible and seals well. The flexibility can also make it hard to push into the kerf on wood casement windows.

Perfect product for 40 year old windows!
My house had all of the windows replaced in the late 70s. Installed were super quality, wood windows. After 40 years of Minnesota winters and several paint jobs, these seals were looking really rough and probably not doing as much as they should with respect to weather proofing our home.Ordered this product and it was a perfect fit for the old seal! Advantage was the windows are being painted white, so I was able to get the white seal to match my new color. Bulb is slightly thicker than old one which will certainly seal more effectively.Only advice I have to offer is if you’re painting double hung windows, take them out of the jambs and pull the old seals before you paint. They come out much more easily, plus you’re able to get some paint around where the seal sets.

Perfect fit
While restoring my wooden double hung windows, several were missing the lower seal. The originals we push in leaf type, but I wanted something that provided more insulation. This bulb seal is perfect! I bought a roll that would do all windows, and it's really easy to work with. Just cut to size with scissors and easily push into the original groove. The rubber seems tough and super soft. Makes a great seal.

The ideal replacement seal for Eagle brand windows
The size is perfect for my crank-out Eagle brand windows (20 years old). The installation is very easy--just insert the 'kerf' into the slot along the window edge, press down and it stays sealed. No more drafts along the window edge.

Nice and easy
I live in a high rise condo and removing the sliding windows is an expensive option. The old weather stripping is worn and this worked nicely. The thin strip slid inside the gap and the round tube provided a good seal. It even reduced the noise level caused by the old worn weather stripping.
