Good performer
The light is made well, has rosettes on the bracket to lock in your positioning. Barn doors are a nice touch to control feathering, color temperature is good. You’ll have an easier time adjusting with the app, it connects easily. When adjusting the color, I’d like to be able to see the light respond in real time. For example the color wheel will let you dial it in, but it doesn’t send that request to the light as you’re moving around the wheel, so it takes a bit of luck to get your color exact. The case is well made, form fitted to the light itself and leaves room on all sides for impact if dropped. Light output is good, nice and even for the most part. The diffusion filter can be removed, but you’ll expose the LED board, and with the barn doors you’ll get a multiple shadow effect. Useful for some things.. Not something you’ll want to use in wet environments either way. The gel settings are very good, I use those more often because the colors are nice, and more convenient than trying to use the color picker. The effects are good, the police one is my favorite, you can change parameters of the effects too, for example you can set the police light speed, if you want 1-3 flashes of each color, or if you want red, white, or blue combinations. A lot more control than some other rgb panel lights.

Awesome price on RGB light panels!
These are so nice for the price point, especially with the RGB functionality.Colors are bright with nice saturation, and perform up to par with some RGB panels that were double the price.Build quality is pretty nice too and they feel like they should last many years.Color temps seems accurate and there's a lot of versatility to these lights. For the price, they are really great!

Well-suited for content creators on YouTube, streamers, and professionals
Unboxing the SPL210C RGB LED Video Light was an exciting experience. The first thing that caught my attention was its sleek, lightweight design, perfect for portability. The build quality feels sturdy, indicating it’s built to last, which is reassuring for long-term use in various shooting conditions. The SPL210C's standout feature is its comprehensive color control. The ability to adjust the color temperature from 2800K to 8000K is a game-changer, providing a wide range of natural and vivid colors. The CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+ ratings ensure accurate color rendition, which is crucial for professional photography and videography. The built-in LCD display is clear and user-friendly, making it easy to dial in the perfect settings.Navigating through the HSI mode to access the full RGB color spectrum is seamless. The hue, saturation, and brightness adjustments allow for endless creative possibilities, while the GEL mode with 50+ preset color gels offers quick and consistent color options. The 10 customizable light effects, such as Color Chase and Lightning, add a fun and practical dimension to any shoot, making it ideal for dynamic scenarios. One of my favorite features is the dual power option. The ability to use either the AC adapter or NP-F-type batteries makes it incredibly versatile for both studio and on-location shoots. The included soft carry bag is a thoughtful addition, simplifying transport and storage. The Mettle Lighting App significantly enhances the user experience. Controlling the light wirelessly from my phone, grouping multiple lights, and having full access to all functions at my fingertips made my workflow much smoother and more efficient.Compared to similar products, the SPL210C stands out due to its comprehensive feature set and ease of use. It's a bit pricier than some alternatives, but the advanced capabilities and reliable performance justify the cost. On the downside, the lack of included batteries means an additional purchase, which could be inconvenient for some users.Overall, the SPL210C is an excellent investment for photographers and videographers who need versatile, high-quality lighting. It’s particularly well-suited for content creators on YouTube, streamers, and professionals who require precise and customizable lighting options.

Here comes the sun...
The Mettlelite is very bright. You will need to read the instructions to get the best out of this light, because there are so many options. This light is RGBW. I put the W on there, because it also does all temperatures of white. You have barn doors to direct the light and it comes with a nice case to transport it in. The whole thing is pretty hefty. It also has the ability to run off 2 NP-F batteries. In my case, TNP-F550 from Neewer, which work quite well. That is nice, because an outlet is not always convenient. The SPL210C does not come with the light stand pictured in the description photos, so you will have to provide your own. There is a lot of menu to navigate, so you may want to install the app on your mobile device to help you along. This light is a very nice addition to my meager photography setup. It is probably overkill, but I will be using it for some product shots. Maybe I will finally get around to all those "for insurance" photos of equipment and jewelry I have been putting off for 20 years. Oh, the price? Not a bad price for a great light!

Nice!
Actually a nice little light. Overall quality is pretty solid, with metal barn doors and strong plastics where used. The unit is actually smaller than I expected, but it is very bright. Supposedly 30w, but a bright 30 watts. Probably brighter than my comparably sized lights from other makers. Colors are easy to dial in, as is the color temperature. Runs on 2 NP batteries or with a supplied adapter. Where this really falls short is the menu button on the back is very slow to respond. Its either a bad button, or a processor that just isnt up to the task, and Im pretty confident that its the later. If you aren't likely to change modes often, from effects to colors etc, that wont be much of an issue, but it is still cumbersome and frustrating when experiencing such slow response. All in its a decent light duty light for those who arent likely to abuse it too much with rough handling.
