I have been completely disappointed with this hub. The connectors do not fit snugly into the computer ports so the connection drops a lot. I have a new MacBook Pro (2018). I have other connectors using other Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports. They all fit very securely and do not come out unless I pull them out. This hub, however is a different story. The slightest movement of the laptop causes the connection to drop. I have a USB 3 hub and an HDMI monitor attached to it and it makes them very unreliable. I am sending this hub back and have ordered a different brand. Also, the product info states that the case is brushed aluminum. I'm pretty sure it is brushed aluminum colored plastic! If the device worked properly I would not care about that too much, but it is just one more issue with a poor product.

Love my new MacBook Pro but hate that apple took away every single port I use!!!!. I looked at the apple brand adapters and to say I was disappointed with the options is an understatement. I searched around Amazon and found this Revert brand HDMI adapter and decided to give it a try. I LOVE it. It is very simple to use and better in every way from the apple brand adapters. From the color matching and design to the connection options this adapter is the perfect solution for me. No complaints so far but I will update if anything changes.

This hub is good for connecting different peripheral devices I have to my 15" macbook pro. I haven't had any problems with it disconnecting when transferring my data and the data transfer is fast. The way it connects to the side of the macbook is one of the main reasons I brought it because I'm constantly moving with my macbook and can conveniently grab it with one hand without having to worry about the hub dangling from the Mac. If you connect multiple devices to your Mac at the same time I would suggest buying the bigger hubs because they have more port options. However if you just need the hub to occasionally transfer data from a sd card, flash drive or a portable hard drive you can't go wrong with this one

I like how it docks to the side of the MacBook Pro, making hook up a snap. However, if you use a protective case on your laptop, it will interfere and prevent this unit from docking. I had to carefully modify the plastic protective case that I use, both top and bottom to make it work. If you don't use a protective case, no problem.

I initially was just going to purchase this usb adapter but I saw there was a 15% of promotion for the HDMI adapter when you get both so I decided to get both. I am really happy with my purchase. They both work great. I mainly use the HDMI one simply because it has more ports and will keep the other as a backup. They are both sturdy and match my macbook pro color. Would recommend either one.

I wanted to connect my laptop to the tv to stream my favorite shows since I cut the cable cord recently. Now binge watching Netflix on my couch is easier. My husband also uses the adapter to transfer his pictures to the macbook or his portable hard drive. All around a good product.

Fried my MacBook Pro stay away

Often had to unplug and replug in the device a few times before it would get recognized. Tossed it in a backpack and found the device totally crushed when I unpacked it. (Could have packed more safely, but had some fragile headphones and some sunglasses in there that survived trip just fine)
