Poorly manufactured- don't buy the kind with hole punches
I use these to take notes in college. I prefer the weight of this paper because it will not rip while I tend to write heavily using bold point pens and pencils. I have ordered this product in the past, but it seems as though the production value has decreased in a disappointing way.1) The weight of the paper is not as heavy as it used to be.2) The hole punches are crooked down the side of the page and are also not appropriately spaced. The pages will not fit into a standard 3 ring binder without ripping.3) Even if the punches were spaced appropriately, they are far too high up the page through the entire pad- if they were to fit into a binder without ripping, the bottom of the page would hang out of the bottom of a binder.4) About half of the pages are unevenly printed- you can see the lines on the other side of the sheets through the middle of the ruling on the reverse side. The included photo is comparative to the punches of an empty previous pad's backing, with new pages that have been punched appropriately using a standard punch. I know this is JUST paper, but I could have spent 35 cents on loose leaf instead of 30 dollars on shoddy material. If you so choose to continue buying this product, I would recommend choosing the version without holes punched and punching them yourself if needed.

Solid feel
I buy these pads specifically for writing. The thicker feel of the paper, the nappy texture as you write (I use a fountain pen, and this really translates through the fingers) make this pad very special. My wife has taken one or two as her customary notepad, and I don't think it makes her as happy as it makes me. The thickness is great when you are building a relationship with the paper, but when what you want is quick notes this is not ideal. She likes a pad that can flip over the top for the next page, and the thick paper doesn't lend itself well to this. But as a writer, this is awesome, soulful paper.

My office obsession
Yes, these are expensive. The paper has a nice thickness. The backer is strong. The perforations actually work well. And, having them hole punched and ready for a client file is perfect. They are worth it. Seal of approval from the office supply snob!

Do not buy
These must be seconds. The holes are punched wrong. I've bought these from my local office supply store and I love them but the holes in these are punched too low. They hang below all the other sheets in my 3 ring binder

Holes are punched very close to the top of the page
The alignment of the holes is way off from what you might expect. I have since purchased other brands and just hole punch them myself.

TOPS Poor Quality
I have always used TOPS writing tablets for work. These do not match the hole punches for any of my previous pads. There are huge strips where the lines are missing. I sure hope this is not TOPS quality moving forward.
