Sich a ease to install really have with it

This product is very nice concept but poorly executed. Here my cons:1) I paid $250. This is not nearly close what i think is the value. Skip it.2) all doors in us are near custom 28-32 x 80. You need to shorten the opening or just get a custom built door. That’s what I ended up doing.3) unforgiving design: measurements have to be precise to the 1/32 or at the mm. I had to constantly use laser level to get to a close result not builder grade.4) very poor instructions. I gave up, and went with intuition. Either way instructions were not applicable to my case.I’d return and get the money back, i see similar products sell for 1/5 of what I paid which is more reasonable price to pay for two rollers and an aluminum rail.

The part arrived quickly and was fairly easy to install (I'm a carpenter). I did have an issue with one of the pieces, but customer service was awesome, and they handled the issue quickly.

My carpenter was able to install into a custom order door with no issues. Client is happy with the overall appearance and function. Will be purchasing for future projects.

This did not work out as planned for me. When I purchased this concealed barndoor mechanism there were not much mentioned about the tools needed to complete the task. I thought it would be a quick DIY. In my opinion this is a task for a professional. In order to install this mechanism on my door and wall I required a milling machine, which I did not have nor would I purchase. Slots had to be cut into the door and wall. In the end it was not the right fit. Installation is not easy and requires too much work. Unfortunately because I did not install this mechanism I’m unable to say whether it’s durable, door closure ease, or functionality. Overall it was not worth it for me. However if you have the right tools and experience it would definitely be worth it.

It's a cool concept however the hardware is so small that after the door is installed it's VERY unstable.... There is just not enough support with this minimal hardware. I ended up turning the door into a typical barn door with an above track and now it's a solid install that glides and will last a long time.

It was surprisingly easy to install and had all the necessary hardware needed. It seems quite sturdy and well made. It looks so much better than the exposed type of hardware which I feel is an eye sore.

Yeah so, this is like the Magic 2 Door hardware. You need to do a bunch of research and then some more. My contractor wanted nothing to do with this. What they don't show is how to cut the actual solid wood door. Adding the hardware is not the tough part. Cutting that section out on the top of the door, and then using a router tool to get the exact, and I mean EXACT cut into the wood for the bottom track, is 90% of the project. Now I know why the original company (do they have a patient) call it MAGIC.
